Typical failure to see more than 5 feet in front of you. BTW only became a HS again in 1999 and started out as a small classification. Their best days are ahead of them and they are going to have a lot of players we need. Amazing how short sighted people can be here.
Things got emotional and there was some miscommunication, but you might want to take off your tin foil hat, splash some water on your face and TAKE A CUE FROM OUR STAFF who worked hard this week to mend. Unless you think you know better then them and spewing your **** is more important than the health of the program.
Two things:
1) That meeting had nothing to do with Ice Harris. He wasn't there and we clearly stepped over him to get the kid and his family
2) It's not about the program, it's about the disrespectful **** that Ice pulled. It's Golden's job to mend the fences because of the reasons you provided. I on the other hand can have some pride and dignity and rip that ******* for acting in the manner that he did. It was classless and he STILL hasn't retracted his statements, even though he was proven to be ill informed.
Bottom line, if you do not know that of which you speak, Shut the **** up until you do. Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought of a fool, then open it up and remove all doubt.
So let me get this straight....the guy who was the biggest Randy Shannon fan back in the day is sticking up for Ice Harris.

This is everything that's wrong with our fan base. You literally think your "rights" to mouth off on the Internet are more important than what our coaches are trying to accomplish. What would be nice would be if some of our fans would shut the **** up instead of getting in the WAY of what Al Golden is trying to accomplish. Between the NCAA, FSU, UF and the rest of the SEC, a bitter biased press, you'd think it would be enough without him having to overcome our fan base too. But no, getting off on the Internet and being an e-tough guy is more important that the program I guess.
Whatever you do, don't follow the lead of the staff. You know better than them. Get yours!!
If you still think anyone is "defending Ice" you're an idiot. No one defended him. It's about what the staff needs right now. And that's more important than your "pride" and need to go after a HS coach on the Internet, whether you rightly or wrongly think he deserves it. Are you about the program? Or is this just all about you and your rights to mouth off?

Someone posted above that on-campus meetings aren't limited. It's not an in-home issue so much as an off-campus one. Sounds like AG could have joined this meeting.

What are you talking about? It's quite obvious to everyone with two grey cells and a synapse that Ice has an issue with AG. It's not 'tin foil hat' stuff at all. The lunatics would be the ones claiming Ice actually doesn't have an issue just because AG has tried to smooth things over. Or the ones thinking that because people state the obvious on this (and every other) board, that they're somehow undermining the 'health of the program'.
This is a message board. People do nothing but spew their opinions here, and one man's **** is another's grand marnier souffle. The idea that no one should express a view here if it's not the 'party line' according to the board, or the U, or you, or anyone, is an idea that belongs nowhere near this site. This site exists because other sites were run that way.
Folks who troll or detract from discussion on these boards get weeded out, but legitimate discussion of views is what this place is here for.

Miami doesnt need Ice Sr, Ice Jr, or BTW to be successful. Sure being able to cherry pick kids from there is nice, but there is a butt load of D1 talent in S FL at numerous schools.
These guys need to understand it is a privilege to play football and get an education at Miami.
