I usually just follow this board, but decided to finally contribute.
I was just scrolling though LSU boards to see what they may know on PS2. from "Bovert": "the Surtains are very comfortable with Coach Richt and like the idea of Pat Jr playing close to home in the same stadium Pat Sr became a Pro Bowler. Don’t shoot the messenger."
Its near the bottom of this page: https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/lsu-recruiting/patrick-surtain-jr-update/75250541/page-3/

isnt there someone here with that name? or the wez

Again....after reading the Diehard article........NOBODY knows anything and these kids are purposely keeping the lid on it.

The articles don't mean a **** thing. Ya'll can continue on debating every word of it for the next 2 days and not know anything more than ya do now.

That’s exactly what we are going to do you epic moron. That’s what fans do two days before signing day. You don’t know **** either, but youve got no problem writing a novel about how tyson is “clearly” taking Rumph into account even when he says he isn’t. You are a jackass without any self awareness. Kick rocks.

Tisk tisk.

More losing composure.

Too much stress?

“Hurr durr let me change the subject because I’m not smart enough to comprehend what Tony Perps said”

Anything of substance or you just gonna take your L, dummy?

Just reading tea leaves based off of the new pa2 and Surtain interview. Campbell is pretty locked in with georgia but Surtain really may come here.

What did Campbell say? I want actual quotes or it didn't happen.

I read the Diehads article and he didn't say anything about Georgia.

Most telling is what most of us already knew,Rumph will not be a factor in his decision.

I dont Even think anyone can fought rumph in the situation when a kid isn’t even considering that as a factor in his decision

If they said Rumph does factor into the decision publicly wouldn't that have everyone believing they're Cane Locks when theyre trying to keep everything a secret??

Rumph was the main one showing TC and his fam around campus, to believe that Rumph isn't being weighed at all in their decisions is a little shortsighted

why would he be? better yet, why would he say he would be?

After reading the article, what is clear is that these kids are cognizant of how special it is to play for your hometown and they all seem to think that CMR is building something special. Don't understand how that wouldn't be a factor in choosing what college you were going to attend. Be one of the main players in something new. I often see things through my green and orange glasses but I would see this as logical for any kid whose program is as storied as ours and is their home school.

Not sure why I keep checking this thread, same people saying the same old bull ****. We're getting no one, we're getting everyone, fire Rumph etc. Wednesday can't come fast enough.

We did have a nice conversation about Cryptocurrencies.

Sounded like he doesn’t care about Rumph and said he just wants to be developed. Once again, I’m reading it has doesn’t trust Rumph to get him where he needs to be a s a player compared to Georgia for whatever reason.

This cracking me up...L-O-L...either we don't know chit, the click bait writers with the CB's don't know chit....or everyone don't know chit...TBD on Wednesday :puzzled:

Was roaming over on the Bama 247 board and they're starting to think they go 0-2 with the S. FL CBs. Their mods still have hope and are not putting in predictions, but a lot of their solid posters are suggesting they strike out in S. FL DBs. TIFWIW.

Wait. What did I miss? Who's trying to fight Rumph?

What site what article. Forgive the rest of us for not believing you, but you are very doom and gloom.

My gosh just shut up and wait until Wednesday already. He sounds like a mature young man who isn't making an overly emotional decision to follow his high school coach, he recognizes it's bigger than that alone. That's all he said.

I saw it on twitter. Forget which canes site. Had direct quotes. I’m not the only one reading it that way. I’m not doom and gloom, I’m a realist.

It sounds like he wants to go experience a new coach.

I’m sure he has great respect for Rumph but he has had him as a coach his whole life.

That’s how I’m reading it.

I'm remaining steadfast we get Surtain and Nesta from Heritage, along with Chatman and Coburn. That's a **** of a close imo

Holy crap. The kid says Rumph doesn't have anything to do with it because coaches can leave at anytime. That is, LITERALLY, what the story says.

The only thing that doesn't make sense is that he seems to say that Rumph isn't a factor, but Ansley leaving Bama seemed to be a bit more of a factor. That, in my own opinion, would lead me to believe that Bama is no factor for TC.

But I like the philosophy that TC is taking with regards to coaching. It's practical. My dad told me that when I was choosing a school to play ball at and I was nowhere near the level of schools TC is choosing. And the head coach that recruited me to my school was fired after a year. Sign with the school, not the coaches. He's gotta sign somewhere that he wants to be for 3-4 years. Hope it's Miami, but if not, it's just not.

Same ****, different year. I don't know how you all don't see the writing on the wall, considering our annual inability to close. If you're new to the game, you get a pass, but seasoned vets should know better.
