Lingard, 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, is a north and south runner that does a good job of pumping his legs and fighting through initial contact to move the chains. The running back has intriguing measurables at tailback, and flashes outstanding vision and craftiness when operating with the football as well. This a hard-nosed that has no problem putting his shoulder down and playing with physicality, so there's a good mixture of size and toughness with Lingard.

Just checked ESPN. Thry have him #6 and a 4 star with an 84 rating.

We're talking about the recruit who was the highest player on Brown's and Richt's board here, right? The same coaches that had Gurley, Michel and Chubb splitting carries. I think I'll trust their opinion on this one. If he's not the next Dalvin Cook, I'll still take the next Lamar Miller, considering we haven't had a an RB that can run between the tackles and move the chains since Miller. And that includes Duke against top teams.

i was just thinking of the two 50 yard plus TD runs he had at Boston College his first game. I was at that game & it was so sick. Even the 4th & short run when he ran over a defender at the sticks to get the first as a true fresh. LSU front will be a lot tougher than BC, but looking forward to it.
Anyone that says Lingard needs to work on his breakaway speed is as stupid as someone saying Dan Marino needed to speed up his delivery. Maybe Barry Sanders needed to work on his balance?
