I agree with a lot of what you say here, but my only retort would be to your recruiting aspect and that is we'll never truly know until we start recruiting and offering more kids in Florida. Back in the day, Miami had every reason not to recruit in state. Back then the talent pool was bare...

Apples and oranges. Florida basketball in the 90's was no where near where it is today. The state of Florida has produced close to 40 NBA players (this does NOT include the imports at IMG, Montverde, etc.) since Coach L has been at Miami. Anyone who was arguing back in the 90's that Miami should...

For the record, I'm in now way shape or form criticizing Miami for not going after Jamier. We had no shot unless we were willing to do something crazy like back up the Brinks truck, offer Jalen and give his dad a job. LOL!!! Reece will be Reece and yes in year's past he usually gives the swoosh...

Miami did NOT recruit Jamier. There were lots of moving parts to Jamier's recruitment, but to make a long story short... Providence made Jamier a priority and they ponied up. End of story. P.S. UF was the early favorite, but weren't willing to break the bank for him.

This was certainly true 10+ years ago when Miami was one of the dormant programs in the ACC, but with the success Miami has had in recent years it is no longer the case. Most local and in-state kids would jump at the opportunity to play at Miami.

Based on the success the state of Florida has had over the years in producing elite talent, it's a valid argument to question why the Miami program has been unable/reluctant to keep the top local talent home. It's not nitpicking the least bit when we watch our team struggle but put on the TV and...

    2025 Recruiting

Yes, Miami has done a good job of recruiting top recruits from other parts of the country over the last few years. At the same time, we've had some ugly misses as well with some of the OOS signees. Now, imagine how much more success the program/team would have if we had kept guys like Devin...

    2025 Recruiting

Most prospects do care about playing for winning programs. However, the top prospects want to go where they feel they'll have the best chance of getting to the league. NIL also plays a big part. Many of the elite guys are already getting 10k+ on a monthly basis while still being in high school...

I'd say there's certainly a chance. How likely it happens? Who knows. The Boozer's are playing it very close to the vest. They don't let much out as far as their recruiting is concerned. Last I heard was mom would like nothing more than to keep her twins in Miami, but the swoosh weren't going...

From what I'm hearing there's more than a decent shot of getting them to Miami.

Top 2 prospects (Cameron Boozer and Cooper Flagg) in the 2025 class are getting ready to play each other today at 2pm on ESPNU. Many consider these 2 to be the top 2 prospects in the country regardless of classification. It's for all the marbles today as they battle for the #1 spot and the EYBL...

Would love to see us get after Holt. Kid has blue blood written all over him. 2026 is a long time away though and a lot of things can happen between now and then.

I haven't heard anything new. Last I heard was mom wanted both kids to establish their own paths in deciding what was best for them. Obviously, dad will play a role and he says all the right things to people but you never know with Duke in the picture. If I hear anything during the spring/summer...

These guys aren't chasing the bag, but I'm sure it's a life long dream of theirs to get to the league. The way some folks are talking Cameron might be the #1 pick when he's draft eligible. Don't know anyone who'd walk away from that. By the way he put on a show tonight against OTE. Crazy stat line

It's great to hear. This is all I've ever wanted to see from Larranaga & staff. Duke may not be a lock for the twins though. I keep hearing parents (mom mainly) want them to blaze their own trail. Carlos loves being a Dookie and all, but seems to folks close to the family that kids will...

In fairness to Larranaga & staff, if I'm not mistaken the Boozer boys already have a Miami offer on the table. I believe they got their offer last spring/summer.

The state of Florida has been producing elite level basketball prospects for over 10-15 years now. Not at the clip we produce football prospects but our state has been producing hoopers as good as any state except for probably Cali and Texas. By no means am I saying Miami should solely focus on...

Would love to see the hometown kid stay in the 305! Hopefully, the Columbus ties will keep the #1 player in the country home. The state of Florida isn't just a football, baseball, soccer state any more.
