This. At the end of the day, it's a P5 school in the northeast, where he's from. Kind of a no brainer. The bad move would be for him to take a job like Temple or uconn or something like that.

Big time. His comments strike me as constant goal post moving. Hearing a recruit say "hey, win is great, just gotta see them keep winning" almost never translates into a kid signing with us. Do we have to win the rest of the way to secure his commitment? I don't doubt that the kid likes us...

This has been the story since before the season started. Nothing new here.

Like other high profile kids, they're waiting to see how we do this year. Funny, they don't seem to do that with other teams. I've always felt that kids "waiting to see how we do" never ends up good for us.

Bama, UGA and OSU will be very interesting to watch. They will be starting QBs that had sub par springs. As for Texas, they can potentially catch lightning in a bottle but not convinced yet.

Anything relating to Ellis is gonna be clickbait for a while. He’s not gonna flip until/unless he sees a better product on the field.

I don't know if you were talking in generalities or the kids visiting UM specifically. I went and did the math on last year's top 50 rivals recruits since I was curious. ~ 40% committed by end of summer, ~ 40% committed in late Dec. ~ 15% committed in the fall. The rest were oddball ones...

Maybe, maybe not. Might very well be a signing day decision but we are squarely in it.
