DE Romello Height visiting this weekend

Sources tell CanesInSight that transfer DE Romello Height will be visiting the Canes this weekend. The 6’3, 230 native of Dublin, Georgia spent last season at USC, where he registered 21 tackles and 4 sacks.

Height originally committed to Manny Diaz in the Class of 2020, but flipped to Auburn. He spent two seasons there, where he flashed early but ultimately transferred to USC.

Height started two games for the trojans in 2022 before injuring his shoulder for the season.

Miami believes it will be strong on offense this year, which will force other teams to pass the ball. Height would give Miami a physically mature, experienced rotational rusher that will, among other things, allow Rueben Bain and Akeem Mesidor to move inside on obvious passing downs.

Hopefully people aren’t still butthurt on what happened a few years ago when he was coming out of high school.
Not butthurt, but before Cormani, wasn't Height the last one to clown us in that type of fashion? Kind of speaks to his character.

Is he a take and can he help us? I'm not seeing it based on his current skill set and his overall production to current.

Who cares what our butthurt fan base thinks?

If coaches feel the kid is a fit and all of that **** is in the rearview, that should be good enough for everybody.

Grown *** men not wanting a kid on the team because of how he handled his high school recruiting years ago ... relax, ladies. :ROFLMAO:

Maybe that humbled him a bit and changed his ways. Idk if he could help us but it’s another body with some game experience. Obviously the coaches know better than us. If he could be a solid rotational player then that’s a win.

My favorite is when he gave that douchebag Ivins the finger. He’s all good in my book for that lol.

We lost Cloude who was a pretty good piece out of the portal with experience..we have two guys with experience who fit that role. No proble adding this guy

I can agree with this. If Guidry thinks he's a take, then I'm on board. Guidry has shown that he will do his best to put a player in position to succeed and help the team.

I dont care about adding him I was more so hinting at the list is way too long and I wonder who will be departing from that list.

That entire list produced 8.5 sacks last year, 7.5 came from one player. Anthony Campbell isn’t giving us anything. Kelly, who knows what will happen to him, then we have a ton of young guys.

You need a couple older guys that you know can give you something while the pups get ready. We have 1 in Alston. Might as well get the double insurance package with Height. Low risk addition that could be fruitful as the season goes on.

Alston as well

Still not excessive. You saw how fast numbers deplete at DE a year ago. Mesidor and Kelly are injury prone, Wayne is just ok but doesn't really flash anything close to having an elite trait.. just a solid guy. Campbell is only playing DE in the spring out of necessity due to numbers. He's just that low on the DT depth chart. Rudolph won't play this year.
