Im hearing from people Jason Torres tore a ligament in his arm. This is absolutely terrible for him and this programs future
He will likely be out next season as well
He will likely be out next season as well
This is accurate. Shohei is proof of that.Feel for him.
On the more positive side, he could be back, especially as a DH, by early next season: “The gold standard is a reconstruction, which is taking a ligament and remaking it, and that just takes time to heal and become a new ligament,” Dr. Stein said. “Most of the time, it’s about a year recovery, although for position players it can be under a year. That’s why they’re saying about 9-to-10 months. That’s really for throwing.
“You can get back a little bit earlier on hitting because there’s less torque across the elbow with the hitting motion.”
What is Yankees’ Jasson Dominguez facing? Tommy John surgeon has a warning

It shouldn't. Cyr was lost for half the season, but even when he was in, the freefall was well underway. Torres was lost near the end of the season. There were some bullpen injuries, but nothing more than the usual season attrition. Plus, all three weekend starters have been available, if not always present.Really sucks for Torres and the team. Will really really really suck if injuries are used as the why JD gets more time excuse…
Ohtani had surgery in September and was DH’ing by Spring Training.Like Tommy John? He can DH and miss little to no time next year. Bryce Harper just did it
