Talks about when he goes to Colleges to check out players and a coach will tell him, "see those two guys over there? 5 stars. I wish I never recruited them."

I had executives from around the League tell me when Randy Shannon and that crew was there who watched practices tell me, 'Oh God how times have changed Alonzo. What are they doing down there? When I went and watched the practices I thought, 'This is ridiculous.'"

Seems pretty obvious that not only did Shannon leave the cupboard bare for Golden, but he left a stench about the program.

He not only killed Shannon but he basically said Al Golden is the man. Talked about how much integrity Golden has and how driven he was and then talked about Nick Saban and said Saban wins because of the same qualities he mentioned about Al Golden.

You hear a lot of interviews from former Cane's and other coaches and everything we've heard says that Al Golden is extremely well respected and admired by his peers.

If you want to get a good pulse on the state of program, speak to the NFL scouts. They will tell you how far this program fell under Shannon. Shannon = complete cluster fack!!!, on all levels.

-He has banged the program but not from a recruit standpoint, but from a facilities standpoint.
-Gets upset about people bashing the program from inside the City of Miami.
-We want kids who want to be CANES. Those who don't.....let's move and and lets GO!
-Signing day is ridiculous and a PR move for ESPN.
-85% of 5* aren't evaluated well and he'll go to a college campus next fall and he'll hear the coach say "I wish we never signed that kid".
-J.J. Watt wasn't recruited out of high school.
-The WANT TO in kids is important.
-Stupidest thing he's heard about Golden not wanting to recruit inner city kids.
-He does this for a living every day.....he's at all the top schools every year. He's been at Miami through all coaches. His practices are right up there with Shcnelly and Jimmy's.
-Al doesn't have the talent that Jimmy had when he came in.
-He likes Randy on a personal level but said his practices were "terrible". He had executives tell him during the Randy era "Oh, my how times have changed. What are they doing down there?"
-Al is doing what Butch Davis had to do in terms of rebuilding the program post Erickson.
-Golden is recruiting his "***" off and doing the things necessary to turn the program.
-All the kids that came to UM came to UM BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO BE CANES!
-Ray Lewis wouldn't be a high * kid in today's day and age.
-If kids are willing to listen to people who push them away from UM.....we don't want those kids anyway.
-Craig Erickson when he came to UM......he loved the competition and wanted to compete for a job.
-Tough, physical, organized practice under Golden.
-Al Golden is a man of integrity and builds MEN and make you accountable.
-Saban is the best because he's got a system, resources and is driven.
-Golden has taken over the program in the worst situation possible.
