Welcome to The U!!! We need a good FB to pound the rock early in games. Great missing piece!
 
For me, I believe that the FB is a big part of what Richt wants to do on the offense and part of the reason we are struggling in the red zone sets if we do not have one.

Happy he has his FB of the future, but he's a fullback. Richt's offense issues IMO are:

Offense lacks consistency and a rhythm. 3 and out, 3 and out, big play, field goal, 3 series big play, touchdown.

Too few route options and adjustments off those options.

Pace too slow. We see the difference when the defense doesn't get a chance to acclimate to the formation.

To many damned bubble screens.

Run the TE from the LOS not split along the sidelines all the time. Kid can run! Let him attack the safety or a crossing route.

yeah the kid accepted to be a preferred walk on. only a few guys get offered as a preferred walk on.

My question too.... why would a 2019 kid at a place like IMG not wait it out more to see if he gets a scholarship from somewhere?

not remotely hating on him, just more curious. It’s not like UM and others don’t give out scholarships for a FB and he still has a season and a half to go, and doesn’t have to hold a spot per se as a walk on.

We had a good FB last year and he was hardly used. I guess y'all forgot.
 
ispyn, i wondered the same thing. why not wait to see how many offers he garners next year? perhaps he blows up. or maybe he blows up and richt gives him a ship? all a little odd unless he just loves UM and his family has a little money and richt is "promising" a ship in year 2, depending on his play.

can't have enough img kids.
