Z’s prospect Watch: OLB/DE Mason Mastrov

So since it’s looking like Romello is a goner I decided to make Mason Mastrov the very first prospect on this new series I will be beginning.



Mason is a 6’3 213 3-4 backer from Cali that’s committed to SMU. Extremely athletic and actually tested as one of the best pure athletes in the country. He could probably play linebacker here but is probably too athletic for Manny’s liking ( JEsUs mAChADo bRo). They are aware of him because he actually has a walk on offer from us (Lulz). 87 tackles and 17 sacks in ‘18.

I’m very familiar w Mr Mastrov. He’s in the same school district as Ken Dorsey was. That’s my territory for work, so I peep out the local schools besides Concord De La Salle, that’s shoved down our throats.

He’s a hidden guy, that’s improved his speed. Good student, like **** near every kid in that district, to be honest. He’s a pass rush specialist only, however. Unfortunately b/c of the lack of development here, and this weird, lack of direction scheme we run, a guy like him will be wasted. They may try to put him on the DL, negating what’s he’s been improving on every year, which is using his speed & hands flying off the corner.

Not a lot of notable offers, b/c he’s a relative unknown, but good find Z.
