Z’s Prospect Watch: Carolina S/LB/WR Chase Hattley

Big Safety from North Carolina at 6’3 205 and has the frame to play LB. Really athletic kid at safety that probably runs 4.6 and is a fluid athlete with very little stiffness. Has really good range and instincts that allows him to be an INT magnet. Decent hands that could get better and is a decent tackler that could get better but he has the aggressiveness that you want. I personally think he can stay at safety and play in the box or up high. @DMoney if you could hit up your peeps?

Oh no doubt they are; but this is the kind of kid you take now. He’s going to shoot up the rankings, and probably earn a 3 star. He’s gotta a lot of tools to work with for the type of defense we’re running w.............Then again, this staff’s ability of developing prospects have been underwhelming at best.

Looks like to me he will be a linebacker. Not fast enough to cover receivers at the college level.

This is the dude I found today that you already found. UNC’s the tough one there now. If they offer, that’ll be harder.

Of course it’s not but I also know that we need a 3rd WR, striker, Safety, and possibly a RB. 3 prospects for 4 needs...essentially.
