Revenue sharing fixes the "free labor" problem. Not sure if that prevents transferring, though.
Do you think this is all heading to unionization amongst players and possibly a CBA drawn up??
If so then I would assume the players vote on a player rep to negotiate for them ...but... who exactly are they negotiating with??
I mean in Pro sports you have Owners of the teams they play for...... In College are the Uni's the Owners?? The Conf. Reps??? NIL people??? The NCAA??? That part gets confusing when I try to talk to people about it....

Obviously I'm way out in left field with this but I figure something like this is coming down the line.....

All good questions.

I have said, for quite some time, that we were moving to a "salaried" model. What form that will take (I think) will depend on whether the NCAA comes up with a comprehensive model, or if they just try to implement rules piecemeal like they have done for a while.

Also, will college sports get an antitrust exemption?

I don't know. The NCAA has kicked this can down the road for so long, that it may be too late to come up with a master plan now. Between that and their courtroom losing streak, I am not hopeful for a very effective system to be implemented.
