Xavier Lucas in the portal

This is a fan message board where people of different backgrounds and levels of understanding can give and gain isight. One can only post with the information they have at their disposal and if you want to contribute that's great, but the condescending tone and unprovoked insults are unnecessary and unwelcome. People should be able to post in an open forum without this overly-aggressive board-commando behavior.

You inserted yourself in the middle of an exchange between two other people, then proceed to derail it with hair-parsing and misconstrued ideas about the basis under which the two people were having the dialogue to begin with. Your response speaks for itself but I welcome more positive contributions moving forward.
Well said, thanks.

“Miami already had a deal done with Lucas anyway.”

with news of tim banks turning us down - we clearly don't have a DC set in place at the moment

to not lose anybody critical on that side of the ball and to get this defensive portal class to overhaul it, without a DC or position coaches in place is actually insane
I mean tbf we had an awful defense so why would anyone leave in general bc a bad DC is leaving and is set to be replaced by someone better (on paper)

Adding Xavier gives you so many options. Playing him at cb, Nickel , safety etc . So many options in that room. What a job of flipping the room.
This was my first wish going into portal acquisition time, which I’ve stated particularly around the time Mateer chose Oklahoma… just please fix the defense first, starting with the secondary. If we have a good defense and a decent QB, we can be very competitive running the ball and getting guys in space.

Go Canes

If he didn’t take any money, their collective should have little to stand on. And that still is a separate action from Wisconsin needing to follow the required NCAA process. Obviously we don’t know everything but on its face, Wisconsin is out of line. They should be penalized for noncompliance with the rules.

I belive Heitner stated afterwards that the is tweet wasn’t referring to the Wisky situation

I didn’t hear that he turned us down. Last I heard he was open to coming down to Miami. Did this just happen today?

It's one report. I've seen other things on their boards and websites where they think they will get Muschamp or they are after Leonhard.

Anytime you see one program (and the associated websites) pushing a bunch of stories at once, it's usually a calculated ploy.

Clemson has already been talking with Banks for days, may just be a delay to see how the Broncos do tomorrow. Or maybe it's real. But I wouldn't trust a Clemson source to tell us what happened between Miami and a coaching candidate.

Once again, Heitner has tweeted many times. ONE tweet may not have been about Wisconsin, but he has called out the Wisconsin-Xavier Lucas situation specifically multiple times in the past week.
As @407cane said…it seems like he was trying to deflect and not point fingers. But after seeing him tweet about the situation throughout the week…I can’t see it being about anybody else lol

Yes. And maybe it IS about Wisconsin and then Heitner decided he might have gone too far, so he's trying to reel it back in on that one particular tweet. But the other ones are VERY fact-specific.

Heitner's a smart dude. He is also representing the F$U basketball players who filed a lawsuit against Leonard Hamilton.

because the people they committed to are leaving? because of money? because of other factors like where they could live, or previous teammates on other teams? idk, there's 100 reasons.

Looking across the country, we lost significantly less than most schools. In my opinion, the only one that hurts and truly impacts us is horton, and that's offense and we replaced him the next day. Excellent job by staff in retention

Pretty significant difference in average rating of players transferring out vs transferring in
