ExactlyWhy doesn’t he just unenroll and enroll in whatever school he’s going to? You have to figure that’s the next lawsuit/injunction that’s coming. I mean, if there are no more regulations governing transferring then why does the NCAA need to approve it?
From what I have seen, Wisconsin has released 26 players into the portal including some that were starters that outsnapped Lucas. It appears from Wisconsin sources that Xavier Lucas signed an NIL deal that included an up front payment (something like $500k). Wisconsin wants him to honor his deal or return the fronted money. Miami potentially tampering is not part of that disagreement. Both sides refusing to budge. Isn’t it always about the $$$$
Not for Wisky
Did the kid actually cash a new collective check and then ride out?
Yeah, because integrity doesn’t matter anymoreWho gives a ****?
Does the contract require repayment? Because if it does NOT, then the Wisconsin collective is stupid AND out of luck.
Not a Wisconsin fan nor would I have a clue about language in a contract. Gator fan (don’t hold that against me) in Ocala that has family in Wisconsin. I think it’s ****** they are holding him up so asked what they know. BIL works with former WI player who knows people in their athletic department. Most likely not full story, but thought I would share as we also have an interest in his releaseNice to see a Wisconsin fan registering here to stick up for his program.
So, please tell us, what are the CONTRACTUAL obligations as to a repayment schedule? Because if the contract says NOTHING about repayment, then Wisconsin is **** out of luck.
We realize that Wisconsin "wants him to honor his deal or return the fronted money", but if the contract does not require it, then Xavier Lucas is under no duty to do so.
End thread.
So if I were to check your IP address, it would show as Ocala? Not a Wisconsin fan nor would I have a clue about language in a contract. So the school is acknowledging their coordination with the collective? From what I have seen, Wisconsin has released 26 players into the portal including some that were starters that outsnapped Lucas. It appears from Wisconsin sources that Xavier Lucas signed an NIL deal that included an up front payment (something like $500k). Wisconsin wants him to honor his deal or return the fronted money. Or perhaps Wisconsin is acknowledging that THEY are the collective. So the school is acknowledging their coordination with the collective?
Yeah, because integrity doesn’t matter anymore
Hey man, get your own **** phrase.Free Lucas
You’re right that it should. If the guy took a bunch of front loaded money on a promise to stay and then reneged, Miami’s collective should make them whole if we take him. I don’t know anything about what’s happening, so maybe that’s not the case.Yeah, because integrity doesn’t matter anymore
