4/8/13: Miami has offered WR Jamil Kamara from Virginia Beach, VA. Jamil is rated 96 and ranked the #8 WR in the nation by the 247Sport Composite. Jamil also announced that UM will get one of his five official visits. He’s trying to make an UV this summer.

I can't remember a staff working this hard this early. Maybe I was just not aware of it, or maybe the situation is different with all the competition starting early.
 
Last few years it seems there was a national kid or two who claimed that they loved Miami, but we got on them a hair too late. Maybe this year the plan is to cast a really wide net even earlier and identify those one or two OOS kids who really do love the U and would seriously consider it. Perhaps Griffin and AQM and Elder late in the process gave them confidence in this arena, also.
