WR Marquez Ezzard update

Big and slow slot WR?

Its not as if those types arent successful at all levels. Short area athlete or those that know the nuances of the position succeed pretty regularly.

Look at his Sr. film. He’s a bully with great hands, and moves. Not the fastest, but look at his offer sheet. U think those schools are into giving offers to scrubs? He’s a take in my book, based on that. Then I see the one handed “Moss” at the beginning of his video, and the stiff arm/choke slam he gave that poor DB trying to tackle him. Kids a grown *** man out there. Don’t let that 100m time fool u. We don’t know the circumstances there. His 200 time, based on his film, seems to be more accurate.

Saw this post and went back to hudl...It appears I watched the wrong video the first time lol

And your take now is Astcloud11 ?

Really liked the catch lol. But as a recruit he reminds me a bit of Terrell Chatman, who I thought would've been good here. He's faster than what most people are saying but I feel like he's a step below Kevin Austin who could offer the same things. Still don't think he can come in and get plugged in, not because of lack of talent but because the talent he'll be competing with. I'm personally high on Njoku, and (based on the highlights) can't foresee him beating out Evidence, or being better than Brian Hightower.

No way to know how Njoku comes back from his injury.

213lbs is massive for a WR who's not even out of high school yet.

When's the last time we had an actual bully at WR?
This is the type of WR that catches a bubble or hitch and stiff-arms the DB into the core of the earth on his way to a long gain.

And I like his willingness to be physical. He's not just big in size, he plays big. If you think about it, he's basically a RB on the perimeter.
CB's don't wanna tackle guys like that.

He may not be the fastest guy we'll have but he has a unique skill-set that nobody on our roster has.

There is always room for bullies at WR, who doesn't want a L. Treadwell type receiver on 3rd and 4-7 yds...?

guys will convince themselves of anything when they really want to. dude is slow. its okay to admit it. doesnt mean he cant be a successful WR.

Ezzard will suddenly become a slow scrub if he chooses Ole Miss.....lol seriously, I said the same thing....speed is not his strength....

Nope but I have always wanted Moore

I like Moore too, but watching that Clemson game changed my perspective a bit. Yeah, Malik played like ***, but we got straight bullied that game. We need to continue to get bigger, stronger, and longer, in addition to faster, in order to compete at the elite level. Guys like Harley and Thomas are great, but you also have to have enough enforcers out there to make plays in tight windows and short yardage as well.
