6’1 170lbs 3-star WR out of Orlando, goes to 6A school Jones

Had a great Junior season with 44rec 727yds & 11TD’s

The first that pops on his film is his route tree; he runs a really varied route tree which is rare to see from HS WR’s in FL

- @:45 the In & Out route back shoulder for the TD
- @1:20 Inside stem Corner route vs outside leverage for a TD
- @1:34 Deep Out to the Boundary vs inside leverage for a TD; perfectly ran, getting good depth at running at the CB & sticking his inside foot in the ground forcing the WR to think he’s making an In-break only to peel & have probably less the 2-3 inches towards the sideline but still make a nice catch
- @1:43 Comeback route, making a quick hip spin break & then cutting up the field & turning a 10yd route into 50+ yard TD with good breakaway speed
- @3:09 Another nice Post seam route for a TD

He’s a really smooth route runner, but also has great agility in the open field as a shifty jump-cut runner making defenders miss in small spaces. He has big play ability & YAC yardage machine. No testing numbers on his speed, but eye test he definitely looks mid 4.4 range. Also is a consistent hands catcher & natural explosive playmaker overall.

Has really good athletic upside & is a kid that will play his best Football in College

Reminds me of a Tyrese Chambers type that goes to a G5 & is highly productive, then everyone is lobbying for him in a few years if he hits the Portal. His ranking doesn’t matter to me at all, he’s a take IMO because while many people think we need to become a stout power-run heavy team, having WR’s with his kind of skill set will always come at a premium.

Is teammates with Malik Bryant & we may be a team he’s actually a fan of 🤔... lol

We’re one of his best offers, so if he’s a take it would be kind of hard not to get him, but that all depends on if he’s a take for us, we’ll see.

Offers:
Ole Miss, Nebraska, Minnesota, Marshall, ECU, FAU & Tulane

always get a tad nervous we see a guy show out as a receiver ... then turn around and want to make them a CB
Lots of CB’s were WR’s in High school, I got no issue with it in general.

In this particular situation it’s interesting to see because this kid really hasn’t played much CB, he’s pretty much mainly been a WR.

It’s a developmental take, because the transition process will take some time, but if it works you get a good sized CB with WR hands & good speed. It just depends on how dedicated the player is to wanting to play that position.

IMO this kid can play WR just fine in college, so we’ll see how receptive he is to the possibility of playing CB.

But if I’m him, I for sure would go to G5 & play WR, but that’s up to him.

Shocked at db offer must have been playing so today this kid is great with the ball in his hands his yac is elite asf haven’t seen that amount of yac on film in a long time he is a take imo

Im usually weary off of guys who play 1 position getting offers after 7 on 7 work at a nother position. (Thats how you got those drops..below avg players rumph use to target early in the cycle)

For example his wr film looks pretty good imo...the 7 on7 work you cant see physicality or anything of that nature ...add to it likely wasnt going against top nothch talent as all the s.fla big dogs are away at 7 on 7 tournaments out of state.

Hes an Orlando Jones kid and that inner city school has been producing and very good...if he helps with Malik Bryant as well...sign that mfer up.

Really?
