Winning the ACC takes playing at a high level for months (even in a down year). When it comes to the ACC Tournament any team can get hot, we saw that with Virginia Tech last year. Obviously doing well in the NCAA Tournament helps with our national brand and recruiting. This team was built to make a run.

Which option would you choose if you can only pick one?

There's a school of thought that has existed for years that winning a Conference Tournament takes too much out of a team as they move into the NCAAT. That maybe you're better off losing in a classic semifinal game, and saving your energy and focus for what's to come. Even if it costs you in terms of a higher seed.

Whenever Duke or UNC won the ACCT, then, say, lost in the second round of the NCAAT, they'd often use this as an excuse.

No one will give a **** if we win the ACC regular season and/or tournament only to lose the first or second round. I'd rather make the elite 8 again and lose to the eventual champion again like last year. The only thing that I wish was different was us not imploding that second half against Kansas. After the first half, I legit thought we had a chance to beat them.

Which may be why Virginia Tech who was hot as a pistol in the tournament got beat by Texas in the first round. That being said both Kansas and Villanova won their conference tournaments. Not sure it all matters that much since Duke won the regular season last year and made the conference tournament finals and still made the Final Four.

Hot is hot. Villanova won 5 in a row entering the NCAA tournament and won 10 out of the 11. Kansas won 5 in a row entering the NCAA tournament.

What???? Those three teams suck. Xavier is the best out of those three and they don't have a shot in **** to do anything in the tournament.

The answer is anything but option 3 because who would choose to lose in the elite 8? Win the ACC regular season or win the ACC tournament and then make the final four +.
