If Zion is ready to go this week and gets the start, I anticipate we'll see him out there for ~30-40 snaps. Would be great to have Zion, prior to the TAMU game, shake off some of the rust. If that's the case, what does CIS say about who'll be in the lineup?
Only a few comments (that I've heard) have been made by the coaches. Some of those comments were Mario's high praise and expectations about John Campbell.
We've also seen PFF (for whatever you might think of them) rate Scaife as our "best" Olineman during week 1.
One possible lineup combination:
LT Zion Nelson
LG Jalen Rivers/Campbell
C Clark (if ready to go)
RG Scaife/Campbell/Rivers
RT Scaife/Campbell
Lots of interesting combinations. Does Scaife stick at RT? Does Jalen Rivers go to RG and Campbell to LG? Does Logan, who was injured, slide into a Guard position? Does Anez Cooper just bench everyone and play RG and RT at the same time? I don't know, but seems like a fun convo. In the end, the good thing is we can fully trust Mirabal and Mario. So we've got that going for us.
