Willie Taggart's youngest son, JT, picked up a verbal scholarship offer from Miami on Monday after spending some time in Coral Gables with his father. It marks the first Power Five tender of the recruiting process for the class of 2025 prospect, who also reports early bids from both Florida A&M and Eastern Kentucky.
JT got varsity snaps as a freshman on both sides of the ball at Delray Beach (Fla.) American Heritage as he worked as both a tight end/wide receiver and a stand-up pass rusher. There aren't any verified measurements readily available for JT, but he looks to be accurately listed at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds and is a multi-sport athlete that also plays basketball and volleyball.
Over the weekend, JT impressed at FAU's mega camp, which coaches from Rutgers, Iowa, Indiana and Georgia Tech all attended. He spent much of the day with the tight end group.
