I wouldn't be surprised if they do away with the Conference Champions automatically get a bye. I could see them and I think even someone on ESPN said going to just making the ranking the seeding.

No. The only change they'll make is not making declarations in the weeks leading up to the final vote that championship week outcomes won't affect the placement of teams behind them.

They will keep all options open to allow them to make it the SEC/B1G Invitational that they want it to be.
