Considering we could've been in the ACCC without a post season ban and all those underclassmen, I think Golden should get serious consideration. But my vote is for Urban Meyer, they would've been a lock for a the playoffs.

Notre Dame's Brian Kelly. I don't believe he has the best team in the country but he out-coached his opponent in every game. Tough schedule on paper, however not as tough in reality. But won the tough ones, chose the right quarterback, limited the turnovers and didn't turn as red in the face as last year.

We really need a 16 team college playoff. Too many good teams.

the overall crappyness of the ACC will hold golden back. dont think anyone saw the amount of crap that the ACC put out this year and then u have the ACC going 0-4 against the SEC on saturday with the two best teams getting beat down at home.

He beat 2 Div-II teams, 2 1-FCS teams. As far as I know, 1-FBS teams aren't allowed to play Div-II teams normally. However, programs in transitioning to 1-FBS can. That 8-4 is all soap bubbles.

They were very close to playing for the SEC Champ in year one with a freshman QB--although a very unique frosh. If they beat FL or LSU they are a game away from the national championship this year. Considering what most were expecting from them, I'd say surprise team of the year and a helluva coaching job.
