CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football program announced Wednesday that sophomore linebacker De’Andre Wilder has sustained a neck injury and will be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

After sustaining the injury during fall camp, Wilder did not participate in any of Miami's first four games this season.

Wilder, a native of Opa Locka, Fla., played in 12 games as a freshman in 2017, registering 10 tackles.

Wilder, Irvin, Polendey, Rousseau getting redshirts. Brown could probably petition for a 6th year even tho he has one year left. Who knows with Richards.

Not saying that this is the case here, but with all the rule changes regarding defenseless players and unintentional contact resulting in targeting, defenders must go to unnatural lengths to make a legal tackle. The way these kids are being asked to tackle is riskier for the tackler than the tacklee.

Fly The Banner.

Clearly Richt is a corch. Have Diaz burned at the stake.

Just wanted to throw that out there, you know, before anyone overreacts.

Well I sure hope the kids alright.. football or not. High risk/high reward, and I don't like seeing risk get the better of any Cane.
