Let's assume Rodriguez gets the waiver, here is our roster so far for 2013-2014:
PG: Rodriguez, Lecomte and Elder
SG: Burnett and Adams
SF: Brown and Reed
PF: Kelly, Swoope and Griffin
C: Jekri and Akpejiori
-------------------------
IMO, taking Donovon Kirk is key because it brings in another big body at PF that can put in quality burn. Kirk is a guy who can play 20-25 MPG, average 6 Points, 4 Rebounds and a Block. Kelly then can play the PF or C.
As for Jekri, I think he will be a darn good Center here I just don't expect HUGE IMPROVEMENT this year. If he can play 20 MPG and be a 6 PPG-6RPG -1BPG, then that is quality time and reasonable expectations.
Kelly is another wild card. Who knows what he can add? He was a JUCO, comes in at 6'8 and has a bigger body then a freshman. Kelly averaged about 30 MPG, 18 PPG and 10 RPG. I would take 20MPG and 9-7.
But the most important thing is the waiver, if Rodriguez gets the waiver we can actually play Burnett at his more natural position SG. The kid is a scorer. Then we don't have to rely on a Euro Kid and Elder for serious burn. While Angel is not as good as Shane, the numbers are not that dramatically off
Angel: 28.2 MPG, 11.4 PPG, 36% FG, 34.4% 3Pt, 5.2 APG, 2.1 RPG and 1.5 SPG
Shane: 36.4 MPG, 14.5 PPG, 47.9% FG, 40% 3PT, 4.6 APG, 3.8 RPG and 2.0 SPG
