Heading into the Notre Dame game???


Not me. I guessed 2-2....at best.


A win this Saturday puts on back in the National Spotlight for the Notre Dame game. Win or lose that game....that's big time for this program right now.

And 3-0 ACC is bigger than any win over non conference opponents.

DBC thought we we have won every title since 2001.

If we win this week, it will be a good sign, regardless if we lost to ND. A win over ND gains national points, but an ACC win is really more important right now. We've never won the Coastal, let's do that one time first.
 
At this point, I will gladly sacrifice a loss against ND for wins against NCST and UNC.

This team is so Jekyll and Hyde. I never know what to expect.

We could very well pull of a miracle and be 6-1 going into FSU, or we could **** our pants and be 3-4.

Realistically, I think we'll be 5-2 after UNC, which would still make FSU a HUGE game.
 
NC State is must win for Canes IRT the Coastal race. Puts a ton of pressure on a vulnerable VT team.

Every game here on out will be a "must win" for various different reasons.

This game is huge in so many ways. A win would be enormous

- 3-0 in the ACC
- First 3 game winning streak under Golden
- Team showing growth from past years when a game like this would be a classic come out flat and lose game
- Being ranked for the first time in a very long time
- Going into the ND game ranked on primetime which would be great for recruits to see
- Possibility that Golden will chest bump Sebastian again

Now, THAT'S a conservative guy.
 
Going 4-1 by beating NCST would be real nice. But a win against NCST would not only leave us at 3-0 in the ACC, it would mean we would actually control our destiny to get to the ACCCG EVEN IF WE LOSE TO FSU.

we will not be ranked after we beat NC state. We may get a few more votes but that's it. To me right now being ranked isn't important. unfortunately we will have to beat ND to get ranked and I don't think we are ready to beat them. I would love to see it because I can't stand those SOBs but I'm trying to be realistic.
 
Yeah. We won't be ranked. People will look at the game with ND and wait till then. Not that it matters. Take care of business and it'll all sort out.

I don't want to be ranked until we can get our doors blown in 3 times in a row and still get ****** votes.
 
NC State should scare the living **** out of all of us.

This is still the worst Canes defense I have ever seen.
 
NEED NEED NEED NEED a Win this weekend vs NC State.

The G-Tech wins means nothing without a W this week.

Need the D to step up in a big way, gotta pressure Glennon.

I hope the players & D'OH(be aggressive ******) realize the importance of the notre dame game & embrace this weeks game with that in mind.
 
Unless we're preparing to play for the title game or some decent bowl game, I'm not interested in being ranked at all.
 
while it's great that some of you guys don't want to be ranked, I think the players and coaching staff would be thrilled at being recognized as a top 25 as it will validate what they are doing and will also signal to recruits the program is headed in the right direction.
 
I had us winning 8 games with a 3-1 start and the loss being to Kansas State (that's how I remember it at least). NC State is nothing special but they can complete passes so that makes them a tough match for us. Hopefully we get enough stops on defense and the offense scores enough. Not asking for anything more than a W. doesn't have to be pretty.
