Who wins in the Flop Tart Bowl

2020 8-3 UM team
2024 10-2 UM team
if our starters played in both, we would score 40 on the 20 team, but Phillips will eat bell alive and Roche would give the other side fits along with King going nuclear on our defense.

So who wins? I think it’s an interesting matchup. I think the 2020 team was a better team overall. Ward is better than King, but King was pretty good in his own right. 2020 defense had bad games like UNC but had some solid games too. 2024 defense is WOAT.

coaching is even. id say Cam ward finds a way to squeeze this one out

I think Lashlee and King would keep pace, defense could get turnovers. 2020 team ends up winning in a shootout. And hard disagree on coaching. Think Diaz is a better gameday coach.

2024 Miami

Would be a high scoring one but that 2020 defense got wrecked quite a few times

Cam would eat them alive. Martinez would have a huge game too
I want to agree but Martinez would get like 8 touches with 76 yards and Fletcher would get 15 with 42 yards for whatever reason.

800 yards against UNC and we are talking 2024 defense

Clemson put up like 600
What’d Louisville score? 45?

I’m not defending the 2024 defense at all, King would have scored a lot too but let’s be civil here.

That 2020 team had an above average offense? And a terrible defense. This team has a terrible defense and the best offense in the country.

Brainfart originally, I said DJU was on the 2020 team but when I thought about it, it was Trevor. DJ was 2022. And I was at the **** 2020 game 🤦🏻‍♂️ 🤦🏻‍♂️

I think that same Clemson game we set a record for least amount of yards in the first half of a game. Didn’t we get like an onside kick or something weird that made it even closer than it really was?

Lawrence was in that game though but that 2020 got gashed in the run game a lot despite having a decent line on paper

No, that was 2022 also. Re-read my post before this one, I edited it. 2020 was Trevor. They obliterated us. I was there 😂. 2022 they completely pants’d us again, but that was Jacurri vs DJU. We had like 8 yards at halftime or some ****. Just absurdly embarrassing performances over the past 2 decades.

All the beatings and embarrassing losses against real teams just lump into one big ball of ****

100%. And that kind of rolls into this year vs that 2020 team. No, we didn’t play a team as good as Clemson this year. But we didn’t get embarrassed this year. That 2020 UNC game was one of the very most embarrassing performances in a long history of diarrhea performances. They ran for like 550 yards lollllllll.

This team is significantly better than the 2020 team. Yall just have short memories.

No. I don’t. I’m matching up an elite offense against an average defense and an above average offense vs a historically bad defense.

Wouldn’t be a blowout but I think the more balanced team wins.
