Approximately two weeks after the end of Miami's season, potential targets are beginning to emerge in the transfer portal.

In the past two days, I've gathered a list of transfer portal targets that the Hurricanes coaching staff has contacted since Jai Lucas became head coach at Miami.

Chase Forte

Chase Forte, a transfer from South Dakota, has been in touch with Miami's new coaching staff since entering the transfer portal, as he shared with Sam Kayser on Twitter. Ranked as the No. 27 overall transfer in the 247 Sports Transfer Rankings, Forte averaged 17.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.9 steals per game during the 2024-25 season, starting all 33 games. He shot 47.1% from the field and 32.3% from three-point

Adante' Holiman

Miami has reached out to Georgia Southern's Adante' Holiman. The 6-foot, 175-pound point guard averaged 16.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 25 games. He had a shooting percentage of 41.8% from the field and 38.6% from the three-point range.

Malik Reneau

Reneau entered the transfer portal on March 18 after three seasons with Indiana, where he averaged 13.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in his junior year, shooting 55.2% from the field. He scored in double figures 19 times on a team that won 19 games. While in high school, he played for Nightrydas Elite, with Andrew Moran, who is expected to join the Canes staff soon.

Zarique Nutter

Nutter, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound combo guard, averaged 14.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 29 games during his senior season. He started 13 games and played an average of 26.6 minutes. Miami's coaching staff reached out to him recently, and he's also received interest from St John's, Texas, Georgia, UCLA, TCU, Washington State, Ole Miss, Richmond, Virginia Tech, and USC. According to the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings, he is ranked as the No. 29 overall prospect and the No. 2 combo guard.
