Completely uncharacteristic, nobody's listing any big time LBs out of SoFla this year. Last year the only two "big-timers" were Thomas and Grace (maybe Skai). What's goin on down there?

its early, the evaluation of the 2014 class is just now beginning. There will be a few. Right now just Dillon Bates and a few more.

Frank Newman is a beast.

Didn't play last year but he will emerge as Grace type talent.

Down at Southridge with Solindger.

MLB/ATH Kevin Bronson 6-3 230
Delray Beach Village Aademy

Had the second highest SPARQ score at the Miami Nike Combine last month.

Like Valid said, Richard Yeargin III, the following is from Larry Blustein:

23. Richard Yeargin III, LB, 6-4, 218, Davie University School: After starting out at Cardinal Gibbons, then to Chaminade for a year, this is now one of the players - statewide - who will blow up in a major way. Yeargin is a big, strong, agile and fast football player with plenty of big time talent.

39. Anthony Wint, LB, 6-0, 210, Homestead: There are many reasons why the Broncos started to turn things around, but you can start with this superior athlete who makes plays all over the field. His speed, balance and strength make him one of the elite players to watch. Wint is also a state-rated wrestler.

Pompano Beach Ely 2014 linebacker Terry McCray is a name to watch on the Miami recruiting radar over the next few months.

McCray (6-2, 215) received a UM offer when the Hurricanes played South Florida at home. The Hurricanes are the only school that has offered to this point.
"I was a little shocked and a little bit happy because my cousin is Rashard Robinson and I thought he might be going there," McCray said. "He wanted to go, but I don't know what happened. I thought he was going to go there."
McCray says he watched as many Miami games as he could this year and that overall he was impressed by the season the Hurricanes had in 2012.
"I watched Miami a lot this past year," McCray said. "My cousin plays for Bethune-Cookman, so I went to go watch that game. Miami is good. They have a lot of young talent that is there. I am really impressed by Duke Johnson. He is special."
McCray was invited to Miami's junior day this past Saturday, but he couldn't make it. He hopes to get down to the UM campus some time this spring though.
"I really want to get down there," McCray said. "I want to see how things are and meet the coaches. Rashard told me how the coaches are cool to deal with, so I just want to see for myself."
With the pipeline that has been established recently between Ely and LSU, McCray hopes to hear more from the Tigers in the coming months.
"I hope LSU shows more interest," McCray said. "Patrick Peterson tells me how it is a good program and the area around the school is nice. Rashard likes it too."
West Virginia is another school McCray hopes to hear from more in the future.
"I like watching West Virginia," McCray said. "They have a fun offense to watch and they get a lot of great players from South Florida."
McCray finished his junior season with 13 sacks. He has been clocked at a 4.69 in the 40.
Former Miami running backs coach Terry Richardson was McCray's primary recruiter for UM. McCray hopes to contact the Hurricanes soon to find out who his new recruiter will be.

Vincent Jackson was Travis Johnson's teammate, right?

Hopefully he doesn't hold parting ways with Johnson against us.

Do you think a 6-3, 250 lb (as a JR) ILB can stay at LB in college? That kid is a college DE, no?

Yep. He was playing ball at Palmetto before transferring i believe. Kid looks legit..

Newman is going to be playing at Homestead

Thanks Tito for the clarification. What is your take on Newman?
I think he is great but the fact he took a year off of football is going to hurt him not only on the field but also with recruiting. I will admit that it was for a great reason in caring for his new baby. It will be interesting to see how quickly he can get back to his old playing style. Talks between him and Miami have died down as of recent.
