Got only one. Need at least 3. Just sayin....

This position has been too quiet.

Why aren’t we dropping bags to some of the top leader board guys? What’s all the Adidas money for anyways?

So far, in regards to DT recruiting, seems a lot like the Shannon/Golden era.

Obviously kul likes what he sees with Martin and fines. Both will be nfl draft prospects as 5th year seniors.

In the meantime, we have Willis, bethel, goldwire, ford, and silvera. Plus Carson or Briggs.

Look at the list without Willis and Goldwire. One has played half of one season of cfb in 4 years, kicked out of one school, and apparently been ineligible at another. Sure the signs are pointing in the right direction but the last thing we need to do is count on him right now.

Goldwire signs in 10 days and as of right now he's still a Louisville commit.

Martin has never seen a snap and never even had his name put on a depth chart.

You got Bethel, Ford, and Silvera, and Fines. I'd say even the coaches aren't very chill about the situation right now.

Can never recruit too many DT’s. Such a difficult position to develop or project. If you want to win championships then you need the dominate DT’s.

Targetting Goldwire, Carson, Briggs, and Thompson.

Mediocre names.

Why aren’t we at least in consideration with some of the bigger names. So far this staff hasn’t prioritized this position like say Alabama or Clemson does. No coincidence they are the top 2 programs in college football right now.

No flame here , but is Martin in witness protection?

Those names are better than any of the overrated scrubs that Bama and Clemson have. Star whoring is for pu$$$ies.

Thompson is the number 2 DT in recruiting rankings (if you put weight in what a bunch of guys that were English and journalism majors think which it seems you do), Goldwire is one of the top juco DTs, Briggs has been widely considered the best DT prospect in Florida for 2018, and they're comparing Carson to McIntosh.

We have a top 5 dt in the country committed right now. And overall this isn’t a great dt class

Were getting close to be back where players from other states recognize the benefits of Coral Gables.

So which one of those names is considered a Canes Lock?

Pete says he feels good about Goldwire, although he signs in 10 days and is still committed to Louisville, so we'll see. Briggs looked like a lock until a week ago due to "miscommunication" fwiw. We have Thompson's last visit so we'll see there. Carson had a good visit but it's hard to tell where we stand.

I'm with you that we need DTs but the staff is doing what they can right now. It's a relatively weak class all together and very weak in Florida. We're trying to find a guy that fits.

Yeah but it’s a two way street. It’s the second most important position next to QB. Gotta place an emphasis on bringing in a couple of big top level talents every year if you hope to field the dominant Dline this defensive scheme (and most championship teams) require.

Jimmy and Butch knew the importance of top DTs so do a Saban and Swinney. **** besides locking up Crablegs the other thing FSU did well when they were winning was recruit interior line with Eddie Goldman, Tim Jernigan, Jacobi McDaniel, etc.
