Total farce of a playoff picture. WHY is any team with THREE LOSSES who got BLOWN OUT last game allowed in? Once again Jim Phillips/ACC has been taken behind the woodshed by Sankey. Who’s being paid off on the so-called committee? Is this Greg Sankey’s Committee or a REAL COMMITTEE? Looks like a set-up right from the get-go.

If you’re NOT rewarding WINS (as in justifying how Alabama gets in over UM) how is INDIANA getting in? Picking & choosing has turned this thing into an SEC/BIG10 invitational (as Dabo said). Then they plug Syracuse in at the midnight hour to try and appease the ACC. Now Phillips acting like he’s shocked Alabama jumped UM... guess the ACC Commish didn’t see the writing on the wall for the second year in a row.

That ought to do it. Whew.

President of Committee (Mr. Michigan) stated last night that teams who don’t play another game will NOT be considered again.

Phillips once again was MIA before the rankings. The conferences best advocate was the HC of a team in its first season in the ACC, which is pitiful.

Equally pitiful is this Miami program. To go from a playoff bye to completely out, in 3 weeks, is an indictment of the program and everyone in it.

This isn’t the program that won championships anymore. That program is gone and isn’t coming back.

We need to be realistic - if the Commtee doesnt play by their rules, the SEC and Big Ten will take their ball & go home to create another playoff

JIM PHILLIPS is curled up in a fetal position in the corner, weeping. He just hopes he can keep his job and keep delivering for the old "Tobacco Road gang".

And they would be committing suicide. P2 wouldn’t survive long if it was just a 30 something team league of college players getting paid like professionals. Want to know why? Because there is already a 30 something team league of players getting paid like professionals and those professionals are a lot better. P2 would be like the XFL to the NFL.

The fun of college sports is that there are literally hundreds of teams, and even if you go to a tiny school like Gonzaga or St John’s school for the blind, there is a chance of beating the blue bloods and even win a championship in a major sport like basketball. If all the non P2 schools got together and agreed to freeze out the P2 from ALL sports and make their own non P2 association with every other team in the ncaa, they would actually have some leverage in talks with the P2 and the networks on the football contracts. But the non P2 are all content with being speed bumps to the P2 as long as the tv money keeps coming in.

Imagine if tomorrow Philips announced that the ACC has consulted with the Big12 , and G5, and they have all collectively agreed that the playoff committee did not honor its commitment to treat the non P2 schools fairly, so they are withdrawing from the playoffs and will be hosting their own playoff streamed on Netflix and Amazon (thanks Miami native Jeff Bezos for getting it all set up in time !) . First- it would break the internet and guarantee it would be a tsunami across the college sports landscape. Second, it would call out the committee for what it is- a Trojan horse designed to stuff the playoffs with P2 teams, and permanently destroy its credibility.

Instead Phillips will write some pathetic letter and shrug his shoulders as his two most storied teams get buttf#cked by a playoff committee in consecutive years.

If you look at Phillips resume, you would not hire him to be even an AD. He has a PHD in education. College football is not education. Big business. He spent 13 years at Northwestern which is NOT a real athletics school. 2021 he goes from Northwestern to lead the ACC in a new world of big business football. Four years of nothing. I am no maga person. But any hope lies with a DISRUPTIVE force. Aggressive and out of the box thinker. It might not work. But Phillips means talking graduation rates and academic accomplishments to the exclusion athletics.

Dumb@$$ ACC brass should have pushed down on the ACC refs to not sc8ew the leading ACC teams with dumb calls... there is a reason why Bama and Georgia constantly win close SEC games... corrupt or not, it is survival.

I see 6 SEC, 5 B10 and ND as the twelve in playoffs every year within three years

Sec and B10 are in bed together w espn

We either join them or get left behind forever
That is reality

I think this will eventually happen and I'm all for it. Let them dig their own grave even if it takes time. Let them kill CFB for good (it has majorly declined already IMO).

Let them go. Let's form our own playoff with the B12 and G5. Maybe we can bring back the Big East as well. It's gone too far: maybe we should help push it over the edge?

In 2026, the CFP will change, they are rumored to be going to 16 teams, so you'll have 6 $ec. 6 B1$ 1 Acc, 1 B12, 1 G5 and ND.

What’s wrong with that? Let them go do their own thing.. two separate CFB leagues is better than begging for their scraps.
