Where are we today...

Unsure (Especially since he doesn't play D) but he is injured and we have to move on.

Just keep thinking of the ole cliche don't let an opponent beat you twice, I think the noles may have hat tricked our ****

Injuries suck especially when it is your best player on offense.

Do Coley and Burns fumble the ball if Duke Johnson is returning those kicks against VT?

Does Duke Johnson get the first down on 3rd and 1 against Duke instead of Dallas Crawford doing the following

Miami (FL) at 2:47 3rd Quarter (31-30): 3rd and 1 at MIA 47: Dallas Crawford rush for a loss of 3 yards, fumbled, recovered by MiaFl Dallas Crawford at the MiaFl 44.

The entire oline got blown up on that play......we could have had bo Jackson, hershal walker, edge, porits, earl Campbell in crawfords place and the same result would have happened.

I don't have the play to rewatch but I remember he bobbled the ball before any run could have happen. Do you have a highlight available?

Even if he got the ball cleanly.....he was dead in the waters either way....the nose guard/DT split the gap and had a free path to the RB.

That is not what I remember but I am glad to take it back if you produce the play. All I remember is Crawford bobbling the ball.

But I stand corrected....it was the linebacker who came in untouched to blow that play up. Even though he did get a bad handoff....I still don't think he would have gotten that first down either way.

I now reviewed it, it is tough to say what would have happened had the play gone proper (i.e. Crawford took the handoff clean and no bobble). The fumble/bobble delayed Crawford but perhaps he fields it clean the LB makes a play rather than whiffing. I still think Duke Johnson in the game on this play changes things but unsure to what degree,

To me it was a bad play call.....we were moving the ball very well running right at them.....and then we go and run a stretch play. I liked taking the chance downfield on 2nd and 1.....cuz you figured that you could get one yard with this huge oline over their small dline.....but you have to run right at those little guys.

But usually when a LB gets through untouched.....more times than not....the LB wins in that situation.

I was watching the game with my friend and when it was 2nd and 1, I know it is traditional to pass and take a chance. I was just hoping to run it and get the first down. Just move the ball, keep the D off the field and convert. If not, run it on 3rd and 1 because no way Duke stops us twice. We run a PA and Morris hits the double covered WR instead of Hurns (I think he ran a route just short and was wide open) and it was broken up.

On 3rd and 1, you have to be thinking run but I don't know why we can't give it to Hagens (which we did during the game) for the dive up the middle. Oh well, we bobbled and lost 3 yards.

I agree with everything you just said.....FB dive all day in that situation. If not the FB dive....run some sort of power right up the gut.

In the hypothetical healthy Duke Johnson scenario, are we assuming that Duke would clone himself in various shapes and sizes and play all eleven positions on defense?

If the answer to the above is no, then I'm going with we'd be 7-3.
