and forces us to take the underneath all game? i'm still not sold on Morris having the touch needed . he either sails em high or low with no opportunity for YAC . you rarely see a QB learn touch this late

Apparently you need to rewatch the Georgia Tech and Boston College games.

That should answer your question.

This was really the first game where Morris's deep ball was on point.

He hit one against Georgia Tech, but he missed a ton in the first 3 games.

Morris needs to be more consistent in every facet. We also need to generate some kind of running game. That's what concerns me more than anything. There are just no holes.

we haven't even played anything that resembles a good defense aside from K-State and we know how that went

What good defense do we have left to play? Nobodys expecting us to beat FSU or Notre Dame..This is a dumb *** thread

+10000. What is this cat bit*ching about? That our offense is too explosive? lol. I guess when we have WRs running wide open downfield, we should just hand the ball off to the FB to prove a point?

If teams take away the deep threat, we will run or throw short. Duh.

Generally to take away the deep ball you play more defensive backs instead of stacking the box yet even when nc state did that (last play) we still could go deep. It will basically look like our own defense. No pressure up front, time for Morris to pick them apart or we can run.

I will vent on this thread, but it is unbelievable that people are complaining about him throwing for 1,000 yards in two games. We have a few things to tighten up on a VERY young team, but relax, we are way ahead of what anyone predicted.

Everybody has been worried about stopping Duke, they did so we went another route. Now cover the deep ball and James and Duke aren't consistently facing 8 men fronts.

With Hurns and Davon Johnson I feel comfortable saying that should someone keep guys back to take away the deep ball, we would have success with one on one coverage over the middle and on the sidelines with those two. Plus it might create some more screen opportunities for Duke and Mike James with more guys dropping.

Georgia Tech came into the game with the 45th ranked defense and NC State came ranked 30th.

Notre Dame is 16th currently. How about we start asking if OTHER TEAMS CAN STOP US?

The opposing defense is always good, until after we throw up a bunch of points on them, then they suddenly suck.

lmao..there was a whole thread of folk sucking off Al Groh last week for christ sake.

You already forgot what we did with Jacory/whipple...

FIIGD offense by midseason. Act right

Smh... I remember that

What will we do when some of you cats quit *****ing and moaning and actually fill up a stadium?????

I dont get you ******* people. You forget everything from game to game and judge an entire season by one game. Morris hit a ton of intermediate passes against BC and GT. Now he cant throw mid-range passes because a defense spread her legs today?

He takes what the defense gives him.

Stupid post. Our first 3 games we essentially took what the defense gave us and people b!tched that we didn't "stretch" the field.
Now we worry about stretching the field and wonder if we can dink and dunk?

Some are still Cokerized. I understand... it took me a LONG time to become un-cokerized. But Golden and this group have cured me of that horrid disease.

I don't know how we ended up with him, but Jedd Fisch is a real ******* offensive coordinator. If a team takes away the long ball, we throw the gimme routes or.... heaven forbid in this day and age.... RUN the ball.

We have weapons to do all of the above. This offense is straight-up loaded.
