Fellas, i am as frustrated as all of you with our program. I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet with Golden. Let's see how these team responds and is playing at the end of the year. That will be VERY telling.

One thing I do want to say is that too many one here are trying to pin this on the players OR the coaches. This isn't a "one or the other." We're seeing a combination of both.

The players quit and don't seem to be grasping the defense. They are definitely missing a lot of playmakers. Unfortunately this is going to take time and a lot more recruiting to build the base and fix this thing. Still, there is no reason to quit.

In addition, a lot of this is on the coaching. I am not sure if this is Coach D just being ill-prepared or a "Mark Whipple" situation where thought his D could do more than they are producing. Either way, he needs to change something. He needs to start dictating the offense. All I know is that what ever he originally planned is not working. I am just getting nightmares thinking about what Georgia Tech and Virginai Tech will do in their physical running games against us.

This is going to be a long season. I want a team that keeps learning and one that tries tort better. They need to learn and they need to understand what needs to improve. If this team shows progress thoughout this year in the small things and shows that it's continuing to learn, I will feel much better. If not, I will not hold my breath on the Golden era.

Im not throwing in the towel on Golden anytime soon. We have our struggles and I expect that. Our D is terrible, that is fact. But there's gonna be games where our Offense has a bad day, this is one of em. I always believed that your team is only as good as your upperclassmen, as you see its true with this team. But what i see A MAJOR overhaul of our team in process. We are seeing what has been our core for years come to light. It takes time to weed out the non talented dead weight. Im Just as impatient as anyone on this rebuilding stage, but I understand that its gonna take time, esp with the sanctions coming soon. Its tough being a Miami Hurricane right now, there's no denying it. It hurt deep yesterday to see us get done like that. But as true fans, we got to weather the same storm Al Golden has to. I been around these boards for years, including tos, I just like reading posts on here instead of posting. But I just had to say my piece. Go Canes!

This is actually an obvious situation. The 09 and 10 recruiting classes should be the core of this team right now. The vast majority of those players aren't even on the field. It's as if someone pressed restart on the program, we're like 80% freshman and sophomore. Due to Randy's ineptitude, we have no base on which to compete with older stronger teams. Instead we have a bunch of small young kids who have to start in place of the Juniors and Seniors who should be carrying this team. We are two recruiting classes away from legitimate relevance. Until then, be patient and face reality.

We have a 4-8 roster at best. Anything better than that and kudos to the staff. I cannot believe how terrible Shannon's last two classes were. There isn't a SINGLE Shannon recruit on defense that should be on a normal UM 2-deep. Not one.
