What this season is really all about.

On the field we ain't doing **** this year. If you think otherwise you're chugging orange kool-aid daily. For me this season is about finding another batch of guys you can build a winner with. Guys that can be playmakers, not JAG. Last year Perryman, Chick, Dorsett and Hurns emerged (I'm sure others too but whatever). They didn't set the world on fire, but you could tell these guys were players and with experience will be very good. We need another round of those guys. We may already see the next wave separating themselves. Flowers, Duke, Malcolm Lewis, Eddie Johnson etc. That's really all I'm looking for because there's no question we're going to lose a ton of games because our defense is nonexistent.

Still waiting for these two to do something

It's not that they're great now, but you could win with those guys. Problem is those are the only two guys worth a **** on defense at the moment.

Chick is a guy who could have used a RS year to put on some size and learn the position. DL and OL are the most difficult positions to do anything as a Frosh. He did decently. This year he has even less talent around him. I dont think he's going to be the GOAT, but I think he could be a solid and very good DE for us. Problem is, he's a Soph, and has no one else worth a sh*T around him.
