Coach Guidry and others have identified LB Wesley Bissainthe as a potential breakout player this season. Bissainthe spoke to reporters after the Canes’ second practice:

On what he learned as a starter: It comes with extra work. Just putting the work in, man. You’ve got to put the work in to be where you want to be. That's something I made up in my mind that I'm gonna do every day. You’ve got to be consistent.

I like that. He knows Aldermen was coming in to make sure there were no ? Marks when it came to Wes!!!!

100. By bringing Alderman in, Nicholson has upped the competition bigtime. Both will get their licks. In fact, I expect a lot of rotation along the DL and LBs given how much talent we have along the front seven. Guys need to go all out when they’re in the game or they will see their snap counts dwindle.

It’s one reason I really hope Dawson and Ward put pressure on opponents with up tempo and big plays. Not all the time like a Whipple/Lashlee Frankenstein. But definitely when we have momentum. No need to fear our D getting gassed with the depth we have.
 
I loved the question about California and his answer of Idgaf I just wanna win. That's the mentality we need. This team has seemingly matured a lot.
