we are NOT as good as 2019 LSU so don't mistake me (and our competition has been worse)

BUT, our domination of these metrics is on par with that team

This unit, and having a Heisman-caliber player in Ward, is why this year is different when compared to the 2013 and 2017 seasons. The defense has struggled and the secondary needs infusion of talent, but when was the last time UM was truly elite on one side of the football? As an all-around team, Miami isn't there yet, as Cristobal acknowledged during the Cal Gameday Interview. But the optimist in me feels this team can hang with any team in the country this season given its ability to put points on the board.

Everyone knows about the passing game and it’s obviously elite, but it’s also good to see that the Canes can also lean on the run game , especially in short yardage and the red zone. It starts up front on the OL. The Canes definitely have a championship caliber offense

What's funny is I keep seeing plays we are missing and thinking, "What if we made those plays?" Our O is sooo good, but if we can limit some of the mistakes, we'd be even better.

I expect to see the O actually improve over the coming weeks.

Defense is the side that will lose UM games. Can't be giving up over 35 pts a game over the past 3 P4 opponents. Don't sleep on Duke and Syracuse.
