We're still in the drivers seat for the Coastal

If we beat UNC, we come really close to clinching it. Miami has not won the Coastal since joining the ACC, so this would be a big accomplishment for Al Golden in year 2.

beating UNC would be great, but they are ineligible this year anyway but we need to beat them to eliminate any other outside scenarios. right now it looks like the only 2 games that could trip us up are VT and Duke as both teams have 1 division loss. If, we beat UNC, VT and Duke, we go to Charlotte. that would be an accomplishment, but Im sure that some of the ignoramuses here would still be calling for everybody to be fired

More a function of a league that sucks rather than us being any good. As you say, we'll take it. But we got problems, man

Everyone knew we had problems. As much as everyone wants to hate Kelly, he's a good coach. I'm sure he knew our problems as well as anyone.

It is what it is. People projected us to win 5 games all season and we already have 4 still.

These kids are still learning. Mark it down, when this team is full of juniors and seniors that Golden recruited and coached, nights like tonight won't happen.

Still in the drivers seat until next week. Looks to me like no wins in October. Duke could be coastal champs this year. Who would have ever thought duke could win coastal before we ever do

Duke looks like the team to beat.

As expected before the season even began, every remaining game is going to be a struggle. No remaining game can be counted on as a win.

So Duke beats Wake and UVA and they are the team to beat? That's some funny *****! I know many want to commit suicide but come on now. UM is the team to beat in the Coastal. Period...

And anyone living in the 561, 954 and 305 better show up Saturday against UNC.

I'll be there with my 7! Anyone else living in S Fl that cares about UM, show up!

There won't be 30k people at that game. Oh sure, they might announce 45k or whatever, but there.is.no.way you'll see anything close to that in the stands. It's gonna be worse than Shammin's last game against USF.

We won't beat Duke or UNC playing like we did last night.

Reality we aren't that good. We have come so low as a program that winning the coastal division is an accomplishment. Be excited but know we really suck in the national scene.

You should really give up following football if you don't understand what happened to Miami last night, 40 minutes of possession for ND.
Miami is still on of the two or three best team in the ACC.

Don't kid yourself. Norte dame would have put 50 on duke, just like they did on navy. We will handle duke head to head.

Miami played at the same level we did vs nc state, we just ran in to a better opponent that could exploit our weaknesses better up front.

If we win it that will be a first. Any step forward is all I'm looking for at this point. I know we're not gonna be this dominant team this year. Just win more games than last year, and show improvement from the begining of the year and I'm happy

The question is can we win the coastal playing defense this poorly. I would tend to think no.

UNC will be able to do what ND did which is posses the football and limit our opportunities to score. Winning the coastal is going to be tough.

"We're still in the drivers seat for the Coastal"

Everytime that cliche get's pulled out, it means:

A: We just got humiliated by a non conference opponent

B: We are about to get humiliated by a third rate ACC opponent

and

C: We are going to pull out the "We can still win the coastal if we win out..." cliche

ok, yes we got dominated last night & against kansas state. kansas state is now ranked 5th & notre dame is 7th. so our only 2 losses are against teams in the top 10. we struggle against teams with good defenses. the only games remaining against teams that have decent defenses are fsu & vt (even though they got blowed out against unc). i'm not saying we're gonna win every other game, i just believe we will be able to compete in evey other game. the fsu & vt games are the only games i can see us getting dominated (that is if vt gets everything straightened out before we play).

Your words give me strength. Seriously.
