We're Miami...how do we lack depth at running back?

We refuse to give Clements and Crawford a chance to carry the ball. It makes me mad as ****. 2 of the hardest working guys on the team and they dont even sniff the field. Coaching staff is starting to get on my nerves.

wrong can't blame RS clements was highly rated. james and miller were the meal tickets. golden should've took two in 2011 instead of junior alexis, and co.

because being miami doesnt mean much anymore

You are in South Florida, and the top Dade running backs want to come to Miami regardless of how bad we are most of the time. Yeah, you didn't get Gio Bernard and Devonte Freeman (funny enough, two backs we barely recruited) in recent years, but we shouldn't have only two running backs that you are willing to use. This is Miami...running backs are supposed to grow on trees...they always have, since the beginning of time...regardless of how good or bad we are.

At least we have RB's.

I've heard us referred to as "TE U" at one point. We don't have a single one on the roster.

Thanks Randy.

IIRC Freeman wanted to be a Cane but Shannon ignored him, Jimbo saw him in practice one day while looking at another player and jumped on him. So he basically told us to **** off after that.

this i think is the most egregious indictment against radio's recruiting.

for years um had excellent, top-flight te's, and now the te's are by FAR the weakest link of our offense. we might as well not have a single te if we have 4

All I heard pre season coming in was how its gonna be a "runningback by committee" and that OL and RB were the strengths of the team, that wed gotten alot stronger in the weight room and were gonna pound the ball this season.....Until the 1st game of the season we decide to switch to a finesse spread team

This. All of our RBs were recruited by most, if not all of the major programs. Losing Storm and Hall didn't help.

we didnt even recruit Freeman

Golden did when he got here. Didn't mean much considering he was locked in on FSU who got on him before his senior year.

yeah, it was more of a token recruiting, like "hey im real sorry the ****** before me didnt bother talking to you, but could you pretty please consider um"?

That actually isn't true. Golden went hard for him.

you know what i mean, he went after him hard, but he knew it was practically a lost cause.

i meant token in the sense that the damage was already done

My database goes back to 1996. In that span, Miami had never not had a rushing first down in a game, before tonight.
