According to an interview with 247 3* New Jersey OT Carter Warren has heard a lot from miami, here's his words:

The Hurricanes offered Warren in October and he previously told InsideTheU.com that he had been in contact with Mark Richt. The past couple months have been a different story but he hasn't scratched them off his list.

"Man I haven't really been hearing anything from them, not at all," Warren said. "I have no clue why, maybe it was the staff being different or something. I'm still interested, definitely, I have to go visit. I'm letting them do what they need to do and I'll figure out if they're interested in me. I hope they are but I would have to go forward with other schools in case it doesn't work out."

It's very believable with the offers in the past 2 1/2 months to 4* Georgia OT Tony Gray, 4* Louisiana OT Adrian Ealy ( who also unofficially Visited March 24th ), 3* Iowa OT Zach Dykstra, and 3* OT Toryque Bateman, 3* Minnesota OT Blaise Andries, 4* Maryland OT Jordan McNair, 3* West Virgina OT Riley Locklear, 3* West Virgina OT Billy Ross, 5* Arizona OT Austin Jackson, 4* Kentucky OT Jedrick Willis, and 4* Maryland OT Marcus Minor and serious returned interest in majority of these prospects have driven him off our board.

Juwan Burgess interviewed with 247 about his visit:

Burgess (6-0, 185) had visited Miami once before as a sophomore but Thursday's practice was his first time down to see the new coaching staff. The trip wasn't just for him though.

"I wanted to visit with my brother so we could let the coaches know we're coming as a package," Burgess said. "He's younger than me and he has a couple offers but not from the big schools yet like me. They were communicating with him and showing the same attention as they did with me. I asked them about it after the visit and they will be by to check him out this spring."

The staff doesn't need the evaluation period to think about Burgess, they already like him enough as it is. They're in persuasion mode and that was one of their goals during the visit.

"The biggest thing was the connection I had with the coaches," Burgess said. "They came right up to talk with me and they weren't afraid about communicating what they're trying to do. They want to bring back the old Miami when they had Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Willis McGahee, all the great Hurricanes."

Burgess did get to see the team in action which gave him insight about the general atmosphere around the team and how the depth chart shapes up at his spot.

"Practice was awesome with everybody going against each other all the time," Burgess said. "Of course you had the offense and defense competing but the coaches were doing the same thing. That created so much energy and it was lit. I see they have two safeties in the draft and a couple more who will be seniors this season. There were two walk-ons so if I do come, I would have a real chance to start."

Burgess was very tight lipped when subject of favorites arose but Miami only helped their chances with this most recent experience.

"I'm taking every school seriously but Miami was one of those eye openers," Burgess said. "It was different from the first time I visited. Everything was so close together and I loved the setup of campus. You don't really have to waste time traveling all over from place to place."

Burgess hasn't gone out of state yet with two trips to Florida and one at UCF. He's becoming curious about what else is out there with so many options around the country.

"I'll go back and visit Miami again but I didn't set that up or anything," Burgess said. "Actually I haven't planned out anymore visits, I need to think about that more. At first, I thought I would decide on Mother's Day but now I probably won't do it then. I don't want to rush it if I'm not feeling like I'm ready."

Found it interesting that that he wants his brother to play with him and is quoted saying their a package deal and that he's going to play Safety here if he commits( thumbs up in my book ), does anyone know his brother's First name so I could look him up

The Hurricanes were CB'd for a Camron Buckley commitment by a 247 Texas insider this weekend which I found funny due to the fact that the national "insiders" say Texas and Ole miss lead and completely ignore that he's the great Jessie Armstead's nephew. I found this a little interesting that an insider from one of his presumed "leaders" for his commitment CB'd us after months of us "chasing" for him.

He's one of the five top priorities at WR with Jerry Juedy, Devonta Smith( who committed to CMR at Georgia ), Jaylen Harris, and Deejay Dallas.

We should at least be in contact with Warren.. doesn't hurt to have back up options and dude sounds legitamately interested

I agree but I think we're only interested in taking a total of 4 lineman. 2 OT, 1 OG, and 1 C or someone they believe can play C which actually limit contacts and that's not including Florida guys. Also something I didn't include when I came back was a rivals report about Stud Robert Hainsey saying we're among his favorites so look out for him

Dam we going after all the OL this cycle lol

It looks like it bro lol, right now it's really that pool I put up that's getting attention. Not a lot of guards though I only know that we're heavily recruiting Robert Hainsey, Jeam Marcellus, and Cesar Ruiz( he's a center though )

Ive seen ruiz not too impressed with him, im assuming we might move donaldson to guard but to me hes a tackle all the way, ashley and leatherwood would be huge pulls

yea I think that happens if we don't land Hainsey or Ruiz but You have to put a commit list together to gauge his potential position and right now it'll be hard because we really have needs at all three spots but we can probably only take four so That makes it even harder. I would lean more to Calvin Ashley than Alex Leatherwood due to location Pensacola is basically Alabama country and Alabama has always pulled kids from there and as a player I like Calivn better and he carries his weight better imo.

I was at the practice he was at... i think i saw him with a guy named Philyor (who is also related to Lance Leggett and was with him). Looked like a fast slot receiver or DB. Coach was talking to him about his Tampa Plant players (Murray, Charles, etc).
