Crazy it’s already week 9 but another busy week in the ACC and we’re getting to the point where we probably need to start scoreboard watching.
Still a ton of ball to be played, obviously, and these things have a history of working themselves out, but there’s a definite chance we have three teams that finish 8-0 in the league. So we need to win and we need the teams we play to win.
Clemson and NC State are off this week
Thursday night: Syracuse at Pitt (-5.5). Cuse is 2-1 in the league, Pitt is 2-0. We play Cuse to end the year, we don’t play Pitt. An Orange upset would be great here. Go Cuse.
Friday night: Louisville (-7) at Boston College. We need Louisville to win here.
Sat 12:00: UNC at Virginia (-5.5). Virginia plays both SMU and Clemson. UNC plays neither. Root for the Carolina blue upset.
Sat 12:00: Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech (-8.5). We play both teams. VT plays Clemson, GT plays neither Clemson nor SMU. Root for GT to pull the upset.
Sat 3:30: Wake Forest (-3) at Stanford. We play Wake, we do not play Stanford. Need the Deacs here.
Sat 4:00: Oregon State at Cal (-10.5). Non-ACC matchup, go Bears.
Sat 8:00: SMU (-10.5) at Duke. Obviously the biggest matchup of the week for us. And obviously, we need the fighting Manny’s to pull the upset.
This is probably the 2nd shortest spread SMU sees the rest of the year. Their next game, after a bye, is home vs Pitt. They’ll likely be less than a 10.5 favorite in that one. But they’ll definitely be favored. After that, it’s vs BC, @ UVA, vs Cal. Likely to be a double digit favorite in all 3 of those.
