Let's be real Wake Forest left their Cb's on an island against our Wr's. And dared us to beat them deep. Merril Noel palyed a **** of a game. I am 100% sure FSU will do the same thing. I dont want to see any 3 Wr sets because they will send Joyner to blitz from the slot and he will sack Morriss. Dam this game not having Dorsett really hurts us.
We will not be able to dink and dunk or way down the field..I want us taking shots before we get in the red zone..
Max protection and play action... FSU plays their safety's at the line of scrimmage all day.
If we do go 3 or 4 wide the ball should be out of morris hands in 2 seconds. No long developing plays out of shot gun unless we have TE and running back staying in to block.
Duke and crawford should have at least 4-5 targets this game, but we still have to go deep to score.
Lets do what morris does best. Throw the ball down the field , back shoulder throws. Deep post routes... 15 yard out routes... Sorry guys I dont want Morris throwing to our TE over the middle at all. THat pass against WF to Clive was a turnover waiting to happen. he overthrew Clive.
WE need Rb screens TE screens, WR screens..
This is of course in addition to having to run the ball..FSU can be run on..Boston College ran for 200 yards on those guys. Duke is currently 20th in rushing. If he finsihed every game he would be top 5 in the nation.. BUt we are not going to line up and just run the ball because we dont use our tight end over the middle
