First of all this is only for those who think Golden would fire coach D.

When a lot of us knew Shannon had no chance of succeeding here some hoped USF would smash us to put the cherry on top and get him out of town. It happened and the program wasn't pointlessly dragged through the mud for a year.

For here on out would you rather

A: see the defense improve some and hold it together enough to keep recruits who don't share the "Defense sucks so bad that means they need me" mantra, and finish strong in the w-l column; which would result in more used car salesman tactics from Golden telling us coach D is the best.

B: defense continues to spiral out of control and put enormous pressure on Golden to make the change.

Its clear the Defense is not improving at all. Basic problems still exist (tackling, coverage, aggressiveness)

Change is desperately needed to secure current and future commits as well as keep the current roster happy or they will leave.

I've gotten the same comment and it annoys me... No one here is a better fan than any other. The people on this board are part of the 10% that are true die hard Cane fans. Only difference is some still have the mentality that we're a championship or bust team. If this were that 80s or early 90s i'd be just as ****ed, but the fact of the matter is the state of this program isn't good enough to be so ****ed off after every loss and want immediate changes when things don't look good. We are still rebuilding, i agree it's taken longer than anticipated from this regime, but this regime is gonna be without the NCAA cloud for the first time it's been here. Moving forward i think we see a rapid increase in production.

It is possible for Miami to win out and still give up 30+ points a game. So w/l's aren't really key factor IMO to get rid of him. Golden is a smart dude he sees what's going on and isint trying to throw his dude under the bus. Coach D is gone at the end of the year IMO.
