Boys, you're looking at the future of the program over the next month. Getting players the likes of Tyson and Petit-Frere would legitimize us as a playoff contender. Richt still has the "upward trajectory" sales pitch. Say we win 8 or 9 next year, schools will start to counter in their pitches with, "It's just Richt's Georgia 2.0." Kool is the best at what he does but needs to close here, which I expect him to do. The real pressure is on Rumph, these are his kids, and he COULD lose all 4. He's impressed me as a position coach but... second prize is a set of steak knives, third prize... you're fired.

I don't want to be "at the table" or in some kid's bogus "top 6." I saw the gap watching the playoffs, and I want to close it! The resources, facilities, and fans have stepped up, now it's time to do the **** thing.

"You got the prospects coming in."

That's a little disrespectful to the kids that have signed already and are officially Canes.

Also, those 2 kids will not make us a legit playoff contender. They would help for sure, but it's a combo of competent coaching, then talent.

It's a great foundation, but it's about stacking chips. That's how you close the gap. If we miss on Tyson and the other top targets and fall to #8-12 class in the nation that's how you stay bridesmaids.

I'm aware Petit-frere is a long-shot. We need that caliber of player, especially on the lines, to compete at the highest level.

What a great start to a post by op then loses all credibility through the end of it

Rumph has no basis to be fired. Dude was NOT hired for American heritage, coaching>recruiting and he has done decent in recruiting. Do we want him and hope that he does better and land those kids? Of course. But what he did with those dbs this year was impressive and won't be washed away

If we land 1 DT or 0 this class is an C at maximum regardless of who else comes.

Sounds like a big ol' frat boy douche.

I live for the downvote, I'll die for the downvote. *Biggie voice

Makes me know I'm not participating in Groupthink. Check out Asch conformity experiments and while you're at it stiffen up that upper lip.

cowboycane downvote me all you want but don't involve the Baldwin brothers in this.

If we want to win championships - ACC and NC - we must land Nesta and players at his position like him. And it's not just numbers, we need difference makers in the trenches. And I said we must land Nesta because he played high school football in the heart of our recruiting base. Not getting him would be a huge failure for DT recruiting this cycle.
