For me, it was at Doak Campbell in 87 when Bowden went for the game winning 2 point conversion with 42 seconds left and failed. Doak was all metal bleachers (no brick and mortar) in those days. Wide right l was probably the other in 91 at Doak, also and both NC years. I just expected wide right ll the following year in the Orange Bowl. While their were many others, that was the peak era of the rivalry.

In the 91 game, right after the FG attempt, Bowden runs on the field cheering.
Someone tells him it was wide,, I could almost read his lips,, 'we didn't make it?'

He aged 10 years in a moment..
