Dee, I hear what you're saying. But FWIW, I am glad Perry got to redshirt. While he definitely would have gotten game experience, the counter argument is he would have been rushed in too quickly. By taking this year to adjust himself to high level Power 5 ball, 1. he could spend his entire year working on improving fundamentals and 2. he could run the scout team and learn all the different playbooks so he has a broader perspective on defensive scheme adjustments and Richt's playcalling going forward. I also felt Kaaya had an entitlement problem that some Freshmen get when they start right away. Not saying Perry would have developed that. But earning the spot is different than walking in and having it gifted to you right away. IMHO, he will be a much better QB because of this experience.
