Dee, I hear what you're saying. But FWIW, I am glad Perry got to redshirt. While he definitely would have gotten game experience, the counter argument is he would have been rushed in too quickly. By taking this year to adjust himself to high level Power 5 ball, 1. he could spend his entire year working on improving fundamentals and 2. he could run the scout team and learn all the different playbooks so he has a broader perspective on defensive scheme adjustments and Richt's playcalling going forward. I also felt Kaaya had an entitlement problem that some Freshmen get when they start right away. Not saying Perry would have developed that. But earning the spot is different than walking in and having it gifted to you right away. IMHO, he will be a much better QB because of this experience.

Kid looks like a great prospect and I haven't heard a negative review about him. If Perry is really as good as you say playing this year shouldn't affect next year.

I know alot of people in his area. As we all know im good with cade fortin & his family. I know alot of people out that way. Cade told dumbo **** off. Hes not going to a & m. The pecking order for the top 3 is interchangable sortve. Its trevor lawrence at one than either emory jones or cade at 2 or 3. Jarren does play 7a but hes playing outside of district alot. He really only played 2 tough teams this year one being Norcross & if i remember right the other was don brosco. Against norcross he played horrible & they got blown out 31-7 bosco they won by 3 in ot i believe. With him what people question most is his heart or his will to win. Just like matt corral. Want another example. How many times did the tv show rosier tonight? Dude flat out looked like he checked out first quarter. I want a leader at qb first & foremost. The comment about wr im not even gonna get into. Were all intitled to opinions. Personally ill take my nephew over pope all day & i love him too. Im not at all worried about wr next year. Im worried about qb play & consistency out of the oline. Thats it on the whole team. Maybe a punter who can kick the ball too.

You're right though. We definitely would have gone undefeated with N'Kosi. And he would have killed Clemson. Going 10-2 and winning the Coastal (which we haven't done in 14 years) in year two was a total failure.

On top of that, if we have to start a RS Fr QB next year, we're finished because a RS Fr QB has never won a division or a NC ever.

This whole thing is just completely silly. Tons of QBs have balled out their RS FR years after they’ve been in the program for a year and learned the system. Rosier may not have been great, but winning the coastal, winning ten games, these are great accomplishments for the program and a level of success we haven’t had for well over a decade. The idea of sacrificing these things to give a FR QB (who wasn’t ready) experience is absurd.

That was a night and day situation. In that instance kaaya definitely needed the time to acclimate himself to the size & speed of the game. Also ryan was a qb who had experience & the confidence of the staff & team. Once ryan was cleared he shouldve been the starter for that team without question. Its a valid comparison. But a very different situation from the veterans stance. Not only did ryan have the time in the system but he also had his year at memphis where he started.

Were talking to cade now but cade is a very loyal quiet humble kid. He loves kevin sumlin & staff. Hes been committed to a & m and has told us all along if sumlins sticks so does he. As a result we hadnt offered. Now cade is decommited & visiting numerous spots. Kid is the truth. Just hope it doesnt cost us. We can only sign what we can. I just dont want him around to beat us if we cant get him. Half the problem is also hes very close with brad johnson & his family as well. In the background that would suck cause of max but as things stand im pretty sure max wont be coming here anyways.

Sad thing here is I like Dee. I just don’t like the selective “I was right all along” bullshyt when you weren’t really right about anything and you were nowhere to be seen when we were 10-0.

In this thread, he reappeared to anoint himself a genius when, in fact, Rosier proved him and his other harshest critics completely wrong. As the thread has evolved, he’s pretty much transformed his stance to “I was right about Rosier (even though he wasn’t because he had Rosier pegged as a cripple we couldn’t win any real games with), but my guy Perry didn’t even know the playbook so he would have been a disaster. But I wanted to see him anyway because I can’t wait till next year when he should actually be ready to play.”

I don’t even know what he’s trying to do at this point other than convince people he was right about Rosier while ignoring what his actual opinion on Rosier was.
