Coming into the season even those fans that were thinking we would win 11 games had to admit
- Our QB throws a great deep ball but struggles with the short pass
- Our Off Coordinator had never called plays in a big time program
- We were in a lot of trouble if we lost our 1st string RB - a lot of trouble
- We had one "proven" WR that could go deep and once again, we would be in trouble if he got hurt
- Our Off Line had yet to show they could get a 1st down in short yardage situations

And all of the above was tied to the STRENGTH of this year's team

The Bowl Game should not have been a surprise either......... UL received no respect this year and the Canes, well let's face it - we were happy to GET to a Bowl Game

But I will say this, the Gator game was amazing

Go Canes !!!!!!

Yes, when you have 21 of 22 returning starters and most coaches coming back. Senior QB, weak schedule and 2 chances to win the division it is a epic failure. 11-1 or bust as FSU is only team that was hands down a better team than us.

You were happy just to get to a bowl game.

Not making the ACCCG was a fail. Period.

Yeah I'd say getting blown out by Duke and getting blown out by every legit team we faced was a surprise.

Our lack of depth and our record clearly say something different than this claim that is based on nothing but orange and green bravado.

I wasn't too surprised after I saw the same defense from the year before.

Then when I saw Morris regressed, now THAT was a surprise.

I predicted a 9-3 regular season which I was right. However, I expected more from Miami in the bowl game..... ******* awful.

Its not the 9-4 that was disappointing, it was how we got there.

I've never seen a worse defense in my life.

This defense is ruining my life.

Correct, the 9 wins we got were even frustrating

FAU - looked solid
UF - looked solid, played really hard and inspired
SSU - looked solid
USF - looked solid
GT - did not look good
UNC - did not look good but battled and showed guts
WF - did not look good
UVA - did not look good
Pitt - did not look good

Even the FAU game we did not play a complete game.

9-3. If asked before the season I'd say that it wouldn't be the end of the world. However the way we got there, and the way were are "progressing" is whats so alarming. If you told me we would have lost to a GOOD Florida team (obviously not the case), FSU, and one random close game via VT or UNC, ok. But the lack of our coordinators to adapt to what the opponents are doing during the games is a real problem. Coleys playbook is stolen from 10 yard fight (old school heads know whats up), and the defense...well you know, turning average QB's into heisman contenders. We are better than Duke, and we should have gone toe to toe with Louisville.
