Waste of space in the passing game. Can't believe that Fisch has them lined in in a 4 wide formation. Still trying to figure out if Brennan Carroll actually works

His only job is "Welcome to the U" tweets.

Everything isn't a coaching issue. Our TE's aren't good.

Um, how about earn your paycheck TE's Coach? They are abysimal

Have you seen our TE's? One is a self described "Defensive Machine" and the other was a unathletic slow project coming out of high school.

They aren't good. Shockey and The Soldier aren't walking through that door. Sometimes, players are just bad, and we have a lot of them scattered over the roster.

Clive Walford's best offer was what...Purdue...I don't even recall if that was a real offer. Walford barely played football until his senior year in HS.
Dyron Dye was a defensive end.
Asante Cleveland's best offer was...Washington State.
David Perry was a defensive end...and wasn't even a good prospect at that.
Cory White (non-existent) was an FIU level prospect.

What I am trying to say is...we ain't got no talent at TE. Two converted defensive ends and three guys who were some real low end talents. Dye, Perry, and White are primarily blockers anyway. Walford as your #2 or #3 TE, actually ain't bad (more productive than 5* Nick O'Leary...seriously, look at the numbers), but as your #1, its a major problem.

Larry just gets it. Listen, I know we hate to hear this but we aren't that talented at a lot of positions, TE being one of them.

Walford looks worse now than he previously did. Same with Asante Cleveland. There's something to be said about that.

I know it's the "in" thing to be bashing the coaches today, but to my untrained eye, all the TE's seem to be blocking better than in prior seasons.

These guys have 8 games under their belts and haven't gotten better. If they're blocking better it sure isn't showing up in the running game. Forget Shockey and Bubba Franks, but it's not unreasonable to expect one of these guys to make a play somewhere along the line. It's frustrating.

So you CAN'T make chicken salad with chicken ****? Agreed.

Does anyone remember when we threw the fade to Walford last year at least twice and he scored with ease? I can't figure out why we havent at least ATTEMPTED to run that play this year. I actually think one of them came against FSU last year...

O'Leary isn't a college TE. His only chance to make some money in the NFL is as a fullback. Fisher should move O'Leary next year.

Worst thing about this situation is they are all underclassmen and a few of them will have to be brought back. But since we're signing at least 3 TEs in this class 2 or 3 of the of the current TEs will be asked to move on.White was the best of the bunch coming in and was expected to grow into an OT but was just never able to gain weight and then blew his knee.I guee Randy was trying to strike gold with 2* Asante and Walford a la Butch with Bubba Franks 10 years earlier but he failed misserably.

Asante was a solid 3* TE, just didn't have big offers. IIRC, his family went to Washington State, that is why he was going there. #15 ranked TE by scout before Miami even contacted him.

He was 2* at rivals, same with Walford.

Other than the safety play, the TEs are the worst performing unit this year. We get absolutely nothing out of them in an O designed to leave them open in the middle of the field.
