That was a nice swing but he doesn't have the pop to consistently hit fly balls. Feel like he's best when he's getting it on the ground, up the middle, etc. Trying to use his speed.

Look, he's not trying to hit homeruns. If that ball was in the gap, you'd have a completely different perspective. That's what I look at. It wasn't just a deep fly ball. The center fielder wasn't camped under the ball. The center fielder was fortunate to run it down. That ball was smoked!!!!

Another great at-bat by Toral!!! Keep driving the ball to left center. He has power to all fields. He just needed a better approach at the plate. He can always pull the ball, but if he shows power to left field, there's no where for the pitcher to go. This approach will help him get to the next level.

If Kayfus is unavailable, I’d rather see Gil defensively at first. He was better than Toral when they split the spot as freshmen.

I can live with a lot defensively if this version of Toral is at the plate though. He’s been better defensively post the first tonight too.
