+ Turnovers: Good stuff. The 2 that book ended the 1st half were huge. The 2 by Rodgers and Gilbert were great for them on Senior Day.

+ O'Donnell's punt: 71 yard coffin corner? Unreal.

+ Allen Hurns: Great performance for him in his last home game.

+ #49 for UVA: My favorite opposing player since Chris Rix. His drops and tipped passes kept us in this thing when it was close.

Minus

- Sloppy play: Turnovers, bad tackling, penalties, bad throws, and fumbles made this game way too close for way too long.

- UVA Clocking it with 7 seconds left: **** you Mike London.

- Gunter's injury: Scary stuff.

Thoughts?

Full recap tomorrow.

Our defense is terrible and our offense isn't far off with Duke out. Only two more games of having to watch Stephen Morris.

+ Gunter's injury: Scary stuff.

A plus?

A plus because he seemed alert being taken off?

What happened I walked away for a bit, then came back and ESPNU was showing highlights and then later showed him being taken off. Didn't see what happened.

484 yards to UVA is an embarrassment. If Golden insults our intelligence in the post game press conference by saying it was a gutty win against a good team and that he's proud to get that monkey off his back, I'm going to go ballistic. If they ******* dance in the locker room chanting "its great to be a Miami Huuricane," I will smash a a bourbon bottle over somone's head at the UGA-UK game tonight. A good team beats UVA 60-10 today. They were absolutely horrid. That might be the worst QB we face all year.

The effort we gave for most of the game was pathetic, and if we give that effort next week, we'll lose to Pitt 41-31 and then lose to anyone in a bowl by a similar score, or worse, depending on who we play. If that happens, we'll be 8-5 against one of the weakest schedules ever. Great freaking improvement.

Oh, as for the game itself. Why does the coaching staff refuse to play Clements?

I'm starting to wonder if it isn't "poor effort" and "quitting", maybe we're just that bad. Coaching, skill.....whatever you want to blame it on, we just aren't a good football team.

Honestly I'm not even mad at London for clocking it late. They only have 1 game left this season and he's trying to get reps and find ways to improve.

Besides, I'm ready for Miami to be doing **** that makes other teams say **** Al Golden. We're too **** nice and soft.

I think Dan means a plus because it looked bad until he flashed the U as he was being taken off.. No movement I would have been very concerned.

That's a good point, and it did cross my mind, but body language, and UVA's suckiness is why I framed it that way.

It all of the above and then some, there is so much blame, fault and reasons to go around it would be epic.

Our talent level is a lot higher then the output at the moment. Its occurring on both sides of the ball.

I'm not sure if you guys watch college football besides our games. Outside the top 5 or so all these teams are extremely flawed. To have a good defense/offense in college you don't need NFL players at every position. You need to put your players in position to succeed, something we don't do well.

Here is another -

UVA's best defender gets ejected for targeting, meaning he misses the VT game next week. If Duke loses to UNC, and we beat Pitt, and VT loses to UVA we get another chance to get raped by FSU. I know we don't deserve it, but I'll really be ****ed if VT backs in. I mean, I know we'd be backing in more, but I hate the fighting flubbernecks.

Oh, and before anyone says its just talent, UVA lost to Ball State 48-27 in Charlottesville.

I caught part of the Northern Ill comeback against Ball State, which seemed to be a pretty good team, according to the I think Desmond he said Ball State was the best team Northern Ill would play this year. N Ill is going to a BCS bowl in all probability. TIFWIW

I see it as there are a multitude of reasons why Miami is not a good team

Northern Illinois still beat Ball St by 21 in the end. Also, we all saw what happened when NIU played played an overrated FSU team last year, FSU beat them 31-10.

Don't disagree at all and expect it to happen to them again this year.
