Why in the world would Panama play football
There’s been a huge military presence in Panama for decades. I would assume a lot of those kids are the sons of military members or people that transplanted there after they serve there a long time in the country. There is also a lot of jobs that are performed by government contractors that are mostly American. But that’s as far as I’ll take it because I was asking myself the same thing

The Bahamas lowkey needs to start a football league

Freeport, Grand Bahama had one going for a few years then it fizzled out....

the kids that played in the league...legit 3 of them off head ended up playing in the ACC.

Bahamian kids can play some football. If coached up ..because they are raw to the sport there is something there. For example int he super bowl yesterday Rashad Fenton is a Bahamian American...and we have had countless of them on our teams from Tyrone Moss, Twan Russell to the Frank Gore's and Santana Moss, Phillip Dorsett's of the world.

I believe if the NFL funded it some way..they would pump out something on a smaller scale to what we see with the samoan kids.

Mexico has been playing American football for years. Our freshman teams in the late '50's would play Mexico Poly every year and they would give us a good game.

DaytonaCane and I discussed this a while back. Her husband played for our freshman against Mexico Poly in the '50's. Freshmen played on freshman teams; they were not eligible for varsity back then.

When I was a kid in Miami, we'd have a team every year play in Panama. Back then, there were still a lot of Americans working there. The Panamanian team would be about 50/50 locals/Americans. Always had a lot of talent. I remember the locals having a fascination with Football Americana.
